'Canes fans are awful proud of their team, their legacy. Outsiders who claim our fans are 'fair weather', say that out of ignorance.
If you were at ND/Miami 2017, you would know. We may not neccessarily have the numbers of Clemson, Alabama, UF, but we make up for numbers as fans by pure rabidness.
I'm convinced, after living through the probation of the 90's, the mediocrity post '03, the fans that are still around aren't going anywhere. We have one of the most intense fanbases of college football when the chips are on the line.
In the 80's, it was customary to rip an opposing fans shirt off if they dared sit in the West End Zone.
For me, Miami football is special. I wouldn't give a tinkers **** about football if not for the Hurricanes.
One day, we'll be back on top of college football. I don't think we'll ever reach the plateau of 2001 (I don't think ANYONE will), but I think we'll be national championship contenders again.
You are with us; or you get beat by us.
Can you dig it?
