It’ll get going like it did last year. Take away Marty slipping and a couple missed wham blocks and our O develops a little more tempo. Also don’t forget our passing game is months behind where it was last year since CB has only been throwing for 4 months and no spring with the WRs.

You saw the graphic last night. 76% of our run plays last year were between the tackles 2nd in the nation (only to Army? I think?).

No reason to believe this year will be any different.

The run game was not blowing people away last night. The 3 backs had 131 on 35 carries. That’s 3.7 ypc. We can and should do better than that. Mixing up the calls would certainly help

A jet sweep to Marion, Toney, or even Lofton would have broken for 50+ multiple times last night because they crashed and sold out right up the gut

There is no reason not to mix in some wrinkles to keep the other team honest and catch them off guard every now and then. It'll make our staple running play more effective too.

I meant that it worked for last night's game. But yeah obviously there will be different attacks.

Yeah. He is about eliminating those negative plays and getting put in 2nd or 3rd and long that you’re more likely to get running outside. The inside zone’s are what they are.

Do think with some of our other backs playing we might see a bit more creativity
