No. I signed life long contracts.
The only sport where I changed teams was baseball, since I followed players more than teams. Been a UM fan since 1981. A Dolphin fan even longer. Been a Golden State fan since the mid 80s.
The Dolphins have been such a disappointment it is really hard to say I'm much of a fan now. I still hope they do well, but I am happier when a former Cane does really well.
It's cool, we vetted him and he adequately explained himself in Post #98. Necessary precautions, you never know with how many bandwagoners there are. ****, look at this thread, we got a dude asking if it's OK to switch squads. I live in NYC and I see more Patriots gear than Giants and Jets gear combined. My little cuz lived in Jersey his whole life and roots for the Pats. It's that type of "fan" that disgusts me and who should be shamed. You and him seem like legit Pats fans and aren't who I'm referring to.Could be similar to how I root for all New England teams and the Canes …
It's all good. I have old co-workers in the Navy who swore up and down that I was a bandwagoner because I'm from Florida. It's cool, we vetted him and he adequately explained himself in Post #98. No. Only women do that.
I'm having a midlife fan crisis and debating switching allegiances for the first time in decades on two sports at the same time. Is this even legal?
NFL- Dolphin since birth, i've been pretty checked out since the Jags buried Marino in the playoffs. I really want to see how the QB position works out in next years draft, but **** i really like what the Browns are building with Highsmith and the rest of them Canes.
NBA- Started a Magic fan - Switched to Lakers the day they drafted/traded for kobe. Hate lebron, lonzo, ty lue. Really think i'm just going to roll with whoever drafts Zion.
CFB-Cane since birth. Death before Dishonor.
Nobody on this planet hates them more than I, it's all personal for me.Only dude that hates Duke more than you on this board is @JBCanes-NC
Only once. Before the Marlins.....****, even during the first 6 years of their existence, I, like many South Floridians who grew up with cable TV and the ubiquitous TBS channel, was a Braves fan. They were always on, if you were a kid looking to get into major league baseball, it was only natural.
This stuck with me, to the point where I attended a couple of the 1997 NLCS games at JRS, and actually rooted for the Braves, not the Marlins. I was cursing Livian Hernandez and the umps that one game. Once the Marlins won that series, sure, I went for them in the World Series against the Indians, but not with any real urgency. Didn't let go of my Braves fandom until probably around 2000, and finally became a full time Marlins fan. The 2003 season was a lot of fun....still ****es me off they didn't bother to even try to keep that team together.
I want to clarify my position.
My dolphins fandom died 20+ years ago. Last year i maybe watched 5 NFL games total. 95% of my entire sports consumption is Cane related. At this point for me i'd rather watch all the Canes play for the Browns than the alternative which would be me not giving a single **** about the Fins and ignoring everything regular season related to the NFL like i've been doing the last 5-10 years.
Let me guess...you've been married 6, 7, 8 times? You change your job every couple of months or so. One day you're a Republican, the next day a Democrat and then repeat the cycle. You have a new favorite food, restaurant, diet at the beginning of each month. You trade you car in at the end of each week. Every 6 hours your musical tastes change from Rap to Blue Grass to Fusion to Gospel to Classical to Elevator Music to Grunge to Blues Rock to blah, blah, blah...I'm having a midlife fan crisis and debating switching allegiances for the first time in decades on two sports at the same time. Is this even legal?

I was a lakers and Mets fan until the heat & marlins got here, but switched to the Miami teams on the first day. Dolphins & canes since birth. I tried to give the panthers a shot, just not into hockeyI'm EVERYTHING MIAMI...down to the Miami SOL. **** i remember the HOOTERS arena team (was young)
In baseball i was an Atl Braves fan growing up...still favor them..but kinda root for the Marlins to. (baseball interest is real low)
I dont get..switching.
