nothing i said is wrong. We played well yesterday. We won't be a serious title contender with an offense like we run.Beck was 22/27 for 291yards and 3 TD's and no INT's.
Go back to bed.

It’s funny that as soon as the reporters press Dawson on the inside runs, he starts calling noticeably more outside runs and counters.
OK Coach. I'll let him know he should hit the road because twes.305 scout thinks he's mid.Doesn’t mean **** in the grand scheme of things.
Lol at “start of spring”, he wasn’t no ******* star.
I’ve done my scouting and that’s the opinion I’ve had since we recruited him and he hasn’t done anything to change my mind. He can be a solid depth piece, but he’s not a difference maker. If u call that hating so bet it, but it’s not. It’s called scouting and forming an opinion.
I wonder if we can get charted runs and keep track of duo inside runs and the runs on edges and see the production.. It seemed whenever they tried to revert to inside game it just stagnated the offense.. lol.. THROW IT AWAY

Stop it yall spent all week telling us that CJ Bailey would light us up
Yes but also forces the defense to match personnel meaning they most likely bring a bigger guy (LB) on and take a smaller guy off - 1 less cover guy. I guess that's the thinking, but that only makes sense if you're looking to exploit that through the air, and our TEs currently aren't much to worry about in the passing gameTo me, that’s the last missing piece from turning this offense into something that would scare teams come playoffs.
I think the coaches want a TE in the game so they can transition back to the condensed sets “on demand”, but the stats don’t lie. We do everything better out of 4 wide.
Literally nobody wants that, come ona lot of people were hoping for a 1 point win so they could *****
I’ve been saying all week that NC state was not a good football team while ppl were projecting 30+ points for them when our defense hasn’t given up more then 24 all szn against better competition, we handled business and I expect a similar result against VT they are another bad football team..Pitt will be where we have to be on point because despite how they looked against ND they are no slouch especially if you don’t come prepared. In fairness, leadership here spent weeks telling us he was the **** and were all nervous in their predictions this week.
To the game itself, 10 games in to adapt to what we’ve been calling for. Let’s see how we approach VT and Pitt on offense. Also need to see it from the jump vs needing the defense to score before getting confidence in the offense.
Good win.
Lucas was before Harris but the other two came in May/spring so he has to get some credit.Jakobe, Keionte + Xavier all strong pickups
Are they here because of Will Harris primarily?

They did do that a bit yesterday. On a couple 3rd-and-longs we had 4 DEs out there with Bain lining up in a DT spot.I haven’t seen opponents have to specifically game plan against a defensive lineman like they do for Bain in a very long time. Any pass play where he isn’t doubled is specifically designed to get him upfield and then slipping a screen or short pass behind him. He plays the run, the QB run, the misdirection plays, everything at an elite level. If I have one nitpick it’s that we don’t move him around more. Slide him inside occasionally on third and long. Make the offense have to adjust on the fly. If he’s always rushing from the same position it’s an assert to game plan for.

Well It’s not like NCST is the third worst D in cfb or anything.
Oh wait…
The defense set the tone and great job by Beck & Pringle taking over that game yesterday. Both were super solid.Has Miami found itself offensively? The slow, overly methodical unit we saw in Dallas vs SMU, and for much of the first half vs the Cuse, was a fun and productive one against NCState. It's not like there is a new team out there, it's the same roster -- but with some new faces and some variation in their attack.
Pringe, Moore, Upshaw are in the mix more than in previous weeks and they have given this offense an injection of energy. And most of all, it's fun and it's creating points
Going back to Pringle, he seems to have 'it'. He's not big, but Girard has that innate vision, and is slippery -- with a real burst. I don't care that he's a true freshman, at this point he needs to be a central component of this offense. Reminds me a bit of Clinton Portis in 1999, you just saw a guy who made things happen with his playmaking ability
I still would like to see more tempo( early in games) with our offense, but I do appreciate the creativity. The players are feeding off of that and having fun. Also, it's creating points and what we saw was a team that eventually created a feeding frenzy that positively impacted both sides of the ball
Because as the defense was allowed to play with a lead, you saw them come downhill and really dictate to the Wolfpack from the time they went up 10-0 on the Jakobe Thomas pick six. Again, playing from ahead with the superior team makes this game so easy.
Speaking of Thomas, he's challenging Jaelen Phillips for the best defensive transfer portal defensive player in Miami history. Today the loss of Deionte Scott was not felt.
Overall, the defense was stout. Mesidor was dominant, and Bain was Bain (again, he impacts the game far more than the stats suggest) and the defensive backfield was sticky all day
This is the best game UM has played since dominating USF back in September. Hopefully, this carries over into Vatech and Pitt. Just keep winning and let the chips fall where they may. What I saw today was a playoff team, whether it becomes one remains to be seen. But the goal was to finish 3-0. 1 down, two to go.
I sit in that End Zone that he scores (WEZ) and when he did that and then lowered the boom on Bailey, it was over!!!
FitzgeraldWas out watching game and missed the start, who started at nickel?
You see, THESE are the types of questions I would be interested in hearing Dawson speak on.Yes but also forces the defense to match personnel meaning they most likely bring a bigger guy (LB) on and take a smaller guy off - 1 less cover guy. I'd much rather go 4 wide in 10 personnel and run the ball. Our OL against any DL and a single LB in the box leans favorably to us.
I did like how Dawson has started to play around with his personnel a bit i.e. Toney lining up in the backfield as the second back, or even Lofton as the lone back. Lofton's carry wasn't spectacular but you can see the vision. 01 personnel with your TE at RB gives the defense a lot to think about.
Not sure why Dawson has taken this long to make these adjustments. Maybe it's the by product of new faces acclimating to his system and to each other - having a two year starter at QB would be a nice bump to our offense.

I had posted after Louisville, and possibly got quoted during the Dawson presser where he threw a fit, but here are the stats then and now and the changes over time. YPC = Yards per carry, YCO is yard per carry after contact and OLY/C is Yards per carry before contact (I credit them to OL). Remember the 2nd table contains all the data of the first so even though they are little moves there is a real change in philosophy.I wonder if we can get charted runs and keep track of duo inside runs and the runs on edges and see the production..
