Hartley's revenge tour

First thing, let's see who Diaz hires as OC and then Hartley's replacement. That might tell us a lot.

Secondly, Hartley needs a new job, so best of luck and he's free to present himself however he chooses.

It's pretty clear Manny had strong opinions about the offensive side of the ball. Whatever that means, and where it is from, he didn't think it was fixable and retained nobody. If that means letting go of some capable coaches, those are the decisions a HC makes.

I thank Hartley for the relentless efforts he put into our program. He did what he could and had a lot of success in the TE room.

He also got DeeJay, Jeremiah Peyton, and has the #1 TE next year Mammarela or something like that. I think he got an O-line man too or basically locked it up but I can't remember who.
Kinsley Eguakun who left for UFag

He ain't Diaz Cartel material, fuuk that bum.

Here ya go!

If Hartley did what is being reported it proves he was never a Cane...it was no more than a job that produced a paycheck.

If a coach doesn't fully commit to being a Cane, how in the **** is he going to convince his players to give their all for the cause?

I get it's a business, but to do what he apparently did proves that Manny 100% did the right thing...get his *** outta here!!

I'm shocked.
I.
Agree.
Wow, I think i'm getting sick...

Agree with you on the coaching but not so much on the recruiting. He didn’t just bring in TEs. He made noise in Jacksonville which is normally not our territory. As far as elite? Not so sure I guess it would depend on your definition of elite. I would say great but not necessarily elite. I think good enough to retain in some capacity.
He turned down a job at Georgia this past off season so that should tell you how good of a recruiter/coach he is if Kirby wanted him.

He missed on McKitty & Zipperer.
Irvin was a bad eval.
Polendey was a bad eval.
Rode with Fecals until the end.
Multiple ST breakdowns including blocked punts, FGs, poor coverage, horrific blocking.

Bye.

Couldn't care in the slightest. This to me shows he is all l about making the offense great.

Unfortunately it looks like he's gonna keep Patke who had literally no use in this roster
i know some former players think patke has potential. if he was the guy who coached up finley, give him a shot.

Lol Irvin was a bad eval. I don't think it was a bad eval at all bc I don't think they really gave it too much thought considering he is playmakers son. I think he was a take and a hope it works out type of deal (role player). I don't think the staff ever really thought Irvin was anything special.

Stop. The man has 4 young children to support. Maybe he doesn't want to move his family out of Florida. Miami let him go - he has a right to seek employment wherever .

Firing Hartley was a big mistake in my opinion. The guy is an elite recruiter and TE coach (sucked at special teams). He also worked his *** off. I'm sure he's ****ed and he deserves to be in my opinion. I really hope Diaz hires some ridiculous recruiters because he got rid of the 3 best recruiters the team had.

Agree. Hopefully the new OC takes a look and brings one or two of them back

He was an elite recruiter on our staff, but he really didn't have much competition.
Overall he had big misses lately.

Would not have minded keeping him, one of the few that was pulling his weight. But Manny is the CEO and clearly has a plan - hopefully it is a good one. As for him ****** with FSU or whoever - no faks givin. This is real, adult life. Man has a wife and children and just got axed, he don't owe this U anything and only pompom wavers who don't have grown man responsibilities in life would frame this as him not being a "true Cane" or whatever goofy fan-boy slogan they are using this week. Good luck to the man, thanks for the work, but we riding.

Cant hate on the guy for pursuing work at the highest level he can, no matter where it is. He didn't quit, he was let go.

That said, Fedora hires him back in two weeks when he starts putting his staff together. :watermelon:

.

Is there a Fedora-Hartley connection?
