Butch....trust me...that's the name.

That's great and all, but Joaquin was singing Mario's praises, and Randall Hill was all over Chud. Some of these former players are going to push one guy or another because they played with them or played under them and are friends with them. Input should be taken with a grain of salt, or we'll get Larry Coker again.

I'll save you the energy - they're going to recommend Pagano, Chud, Mario, Curtis Johnson. They can have their opinions and recommendations but are not equipped to recommend a new coach.

Unless these former Players want to pull a Kehoe-like-rally for Butch Davis to come back and get hired, as they did for Kehoe to come back, I would not really be for players to just show up, or not really against it. They built this ****, so they have earned to have their voice heard.

If they rally for Butch, then they could give their input how we can pay for the best Coordinators Butch could afford to hire.

But Really, if not a rally for Butch, then what else really can they serve more than that? **** the best UM players, in sheer numbers, are Butch players. So, they could kill the inherent prejudice in emotions of lame women by some members (the eye rollers) on the UM BoT against Butch.

In all honesty what they should be doing or should i say what should've been done along time ago. Is these former players should have formed an ex player committee. Led by level headed dudes that went to other ex players and seeked out contributions for staff salaries and upgrades for the team.

Have a foundation built and an understanding with the University about the relevance in staying a power football program. Our program does have a bond among ex players and some have given back but their voices over the past 15 years have been far few and in between. Some have even stood up for these wannabe coaches we have had.

This program started to slide the moment some players decided it was wiser to promote Coker instead of wanting a new real coach to come in and implement a new system. That was fine for about 5 seconds but once these players left. The recruiting and development was nowhere to be found and as i stated before. Neither was their voice in complete outrage. The guys from the past built this **** up and should be busting the schools and any player who doesn't bring it every play ***.

Maybe if they all got together and raised 5 mil and walked into the pres office and said here the 1st year salary is on us. We want to win and what we built doesn't need to be forgotten. Might be a good start at be taken serious at what the standard is and how it should remain.

The ideal situation is that all of those opinions are collected by an intelligent and discerning Athletic Director, and then used as a mere factor in a much more complex analysis.

The same former players that strong armed the administration to promote Coker and celebrated Radio's hiring?

I literally laughed out loud here at work.

This is absolute truth...but, well, we're the University of Miami with a figurehead clown ticket taker acting as "Athletic Director"
