I'm pretty sure he got over it when he won the Super Bowl to end the season while the Dolphins were at home watching on TV.Obviously, he never got over missing the tackle in the Miracle in Miami.

Yup. Probably Vince McMahon too.
Ah No. That would be Tony Gonzalez and it ain't even close.
Most dominant TE of all time. Gonzales has the longevity but he never could take over a game the way Gronk did, and that’s not even close
If Gonzales played in this era his numbers would have been even more ridiculous. TEs are putting up insane numbers these days.

his back is too ****ed up to wrestle, and those guys' bodies take a beating on a weekly basis. gronk would probably keep playing if he could since the three biggest loves in his life are (in this order)
1) football season
2) the offseason
3) banging **** stars
Great....but better than Winslow Sr or Gonzalez??....Nah....
Winslow Sr was better than all of them....1. Gonzalez
2. Gates
3. Sharpe
4a. Gronkowski
4b. Witten
Good for him. He shouldn't risk his future with that arm.
Still the greatest TE of all time
2nd greatest tight end of my lifetime behind Tony Gonzalez. 1st ballot no doubt. Pats dont beat Chiefs without him in AFC title game. Hate the Pats so I’m glad he’s retiring.
I HATE the Pats but ya gotta respect that f*cking meathead though. Goin out on top, never got in any real trouble despite keeping the party image and supposedly still has all his money.
Gonzales did play in this era... he retired six years ago. I'd say that qualifies as "these days" to most folks around here.
Its also worth noting that Gronk was the best blocking TE in the league for the 9 years he played. Like I said, dominant in all facets of the game.

IIRC he invested all of his salary and lived off the interest and dividends. At least early in his career.
Smart move.
