Sarcasm buddy, it's what we do around here.

Good write up, but you do embellish a little, by the sound of that write up, WSU should be in the playoff. According to you, they have no weakness.

Wouldn't be surprised at all if you win, Miami has the two worst (luckily for only 1 more game) coordinators in college football.

The only things I could embellish on really are:

1 Falk is darn good and proves that recruiting is a crazy animal with him a walk on beating out a 4 star kid who was wanted by half the country. Falk actually has a crazy story of how he got here and why recruiting is just a silly science.

2. The WR are good, all of them.

3. The LT Joe Dahl will be a draft pick, kid is a stud.

4. We had not had a winning season in 12 years and it has been one **** of a ride.

The one question I have about Wazzou, Cougfan:

How do you all get that flag at Gameday every week?

Exactly. Good write up, but apparently WSU is good in every aspect of the game, which clearly isn't true.

Man ready to fire him after the 1st game this year and the 3-9 nightmare of the year before. Now people finally have realized that he took over a disaster of a program and his offense works way better with good players.

This is an awesome story. Started by a guy in New Mexico who took a flag to Austin when he was on a business trip in 2003. People actually paid to have the flag shipped to Bowling Green two weeks later and a girls who's grandfather was an all American at WSU flew it. Her dad is a lawyer and set up a non-profit that money started being sent to that week 13 years later it is still that way. The money used out of that account pays for shipping and it is sent to a WSU alum near the site. There are hundreds of folks on the waiting list to do it now.

He makes it sound like they should be undefeated.....

they are not

WSU actually a dropped punt on their 5, a missed 44 yard FG vs Stanford, and a fumble on Cal's 10 yard line with 45 seconds to go from possibly being 11-1 :). They are not bad.

Yeah, I mean I appreciate the write-up and optimism, but reading that makes it seem like Washington State would be top 5 in the country. Most Miami fans are pretty down on this football team, whether it be a deplorable defense, inability to run the football, or just disinterest in a (to us, anyway) meaningless football game. Yet, those guys that build casinos in the middle of a desert have Washington State as a 3 point favorite. Now, they've been known to be wrong a time or two before, but they generally get it right, and what that line says is that these two teams are pretty even. Taking that into account, there has to be bigger weaknesses than you are letting on.

My guess? The defense is not particularly good, especially at stopping the run and preventing the big play. Opposing teams are able to rip off chunks of yards against Washington State, as long as you are patient. The red zone defense was rather pedestrian, and allowed teams to convert opportunities into touchdowns greater than 50% of the time. Washington State also struggled more than Miami at getting off the field on 3rd down, and if you spend any time around here, you'll know that Miami's 3rd down defense is one of the biggest complaints anyone has about the (former) staff.

Now, bowl games are typically about motivation. And you have to expect that Washington State will be highly motivated in this game, whereas nobody really knows what to expect out of Miami. If it's cold out like it was the last time we were in El Paso (which it most likely will be this year as well), then chances are you guys will throw all over us into oblivion. Seems like it should be a high scoring affair based on the defenses involved. I'd say Washington State -3 is fair. Good luck.

All that being said,

KR: Frosh from Miami actually from Dwyer HS. Kid is freak, has almost taken a few back but he is a frosh and well makes mistakes like a frosh.

.

**** Golden! Even Wazzu has freshman kick returner from down here that's a threat and we don't!

If I had more time would write up a more objective one.

I have something total off topic that will blow your mind. Obviously Erickson is about the only tie between the schools.

My dad's high school offensive coordinator was Dennis Erickson's dad.

Only reason WSU got him was becuae he and some buddies hijacked some TV's. Was recruited by everyone in the SEC and then lost his ride to West Virginia. He showed up out of the blue in Pullman like June.

His dad taught 6 periods of study hall in the auditorium and the last period were all FB players and they left for practice. Everett, Wa was an absolute football power back in those days. My dad played with from UW cJim Lambright, Mike Price was there about 3 years later, and Dennis Erickson was there just after that.
