Greatest CFB Programs of All Time....

Huh ? I don’t even agree with the teams ranked below Miami let alone above... aside from Clemson what have any of those programs done ranked below Miami

The methodology is dumb, boring, and seemingly invented by someone who doesn't actually follow sports:

Lots of weight given to first-25th place losers:

"Taking all the AP final rankings, CFN devised a scoring system giving every AP national champion 25 points, the No. 2 team 24, No. 3 23, and so on down to the bottom – currently No. 25, but there was a top ten for a bit and later a top 20. Rankings from 1935 through to Clemson’s national championship after the 2018 season."

Frankly, there's not really a metric anyone could come up with that would allow you to definitively rank programs. Qualitatively, there are tiers, but this amateur bullsh1t is what you get when you run a BCS computer model on a TI-83.

This ranking is a piece of crap. After all, Miami is the better program than Nebraska and the other programs ranked No. 9- No. 14. And ALL of those programs have had their down cycles akin to Miami. Heck, that crappy Herbie CornSUCKER program has had THREE losing seasons the past four seasons!!!!!!:zczkqmritjdsoaq.jpg: Go figure. And in bowl games Miami has kicked the crap out of that Nebraska Hayseed team! Witness the Rose Bowl NO SHOW by that Herbie CornSUCKER team.

Absolutely! After all, NO college football comes CLOSE to Roll Tide regarding national championships and what not. In other words, Alabama is Alabama. And don't you ever forget that!

Bama should be #1 but careful about the "number of titles"thing ... how Bama counts the following national titles
- one year when they were 9-2 finished in 3rd in the SEC but a computer poll picked them #1 .... all other polls had them at #20
- two other titles CLAIMED #1 even after they lost in the bowl game - reason ---- some polls closed before bowl games

I don't know about No. 2, but Miami would be in the Top 4! And I'd rank Roll Tide No. 1 with their six national championships since the end of disco- circa 1982.
We’ve got 5 (six really) and played for another 5. The last 15 years have been an embarrassment, true, but like Donna Summers said: F Ohio state.

National titles should be based on the current system and the passe AP, UPI, and Coaches poll ( Coaches poll replaced the atavistic UPI college football poll. ). When one applies the latter final polls, Alabama has " 15 national titles! "

If they want a realistic view, they probably need to look at 1970 forward. Why? Desegregation in sports was really starting to happen and the quality of the football improved dramatically. A 1935 or 1950 NC team up against any of today's Top 25 would be destroyed, no comparison. 1935, are you kidding me, very bad metric and as someone in the thread stated, done by someone that doesn't know football or a Yale fan (they have the most National Championships of any team).

Teams like Michigan (most wins all time) and Alabama been playing since the late 1800’s

Why should Miami fans care about this when all we do is get ridiculed for talking about our history
