If we know the coach isn’t going anywhere for the next 3 years, at minimum, and we know this as legitimate fact, what should we do? I am a Miami fan and will support the university for the rest of my days. No matter what. Because that’s where my allegiance lies, and no matter how much I’m hurt, my allegiance will always lie here. So for people like us, I guess the slurp crew, what do you guys suggest? Don’t watch the games? Don’t talk ball with folks here and in real life? Don’t support the program? Pretend it doesn’t exist?

And if so, then what do the people who hate Mario and wish ill will on him do? Do they continue to get to post here and tell him he’s a ****** and do the same on social media? Even though he’s not being fired no matter what?

Sorry, just trying to stay between the lines here. Some of us would like guidance on how to act. Thanks in advance.

Bro these people that can only ***** and moan about Mario are mostly the softest people on this board. Anything they say is just them being objective and telling the truth. Anything that isn't Mario hate is slurpers and unobjective. To them there is no possibility of anything good in our future. There's no winning with them. They show up more when we are losing than when we are winning. And even worse they probably prefer it cause then they get to do their favorite thing on here - talk trash about our program and the future of our program and be as negative as they want with zero repercussions - in fact anyone talking trash back usually gets silenced by mods lol.

I am 100% certain about one thing - there will NEVER be a point where they think Mario is doing a good job here. Nothing will be good enough. If we get a top QB in the portal and win 10+ games the next 3 seasons it'll still be negative with them...they'll just be waiting to post when we drop a big game or something. And then they'll pounce on any little negative. Any opinion that isn't 'we are playing fizicul bro-style and that's why we won't win and no recruit should want to come here!' is constantly ripped lol.

Why are people with patience and wanting a long-term rebuild the ones that are more delusional than you lol. You're saying the direction is currently negative. I think it's positive.

We hired a caveman and he’s doing caveman things. The President, AD, Boosters, and former players all signed off on it.

Agreed. It’s just that this year I have gotten a case of whiplash, just when you think we played a good game, the next one has the earth opening under our feet. And it’s always something or the other, no consistency. Year one was Gattis, year two is a buffet of unfathomable letdowns. I cringe at year three. I’m a cane fan +/-50 years. It’s my Alma mater. Believe me when I say I want to see this program flourish, but it’s frustrating as **** watching is getting clowned every week.

I been looking up front all year and to me that’s where u start. We look way different I think the skill guys start to come eventually. Same as Michigan just have to be patient. I know they cheated but it’s a good example they were down for ages. They changed the OL first that’s how it started. Yea we probably going to be boring but it will eventually change same like bama did. Doesn’t mean we can’t win and that’s what it’s about. We aren’t doing it now but this build looks the most different from the last coaches we have had.

Nailed it. I'm convinced we have fans that actively root for failure, becuase they get off on being negative, and being toxic is the only thing they want to be.

Trust me, walking out of Doak on Saturday, I was ****ed, I was frustrated, but by the time I got back to the car and grabbed some Waffle House, I made peace with it. Why? Because I know that Mario isn't going anywhere for at least the next 3-4 years, barring some crazy scandal. Being toxic only sets us back further, making it more difficult for whomever gets hired after him to win, if it even comes to that. There's a difference between legitimate criticism, and the toxic crap our fans do whenever things aren't going well. Fans running to Social Media to go after recruits, Fans in the community poisoning potential recruits, that's BS. Even if Mario turns out to not be the answer, we should be doing everything we can to make sure he has every opportunity to succeed. Worst case scenario, he should be able to build a roster that gives someone a chance to win early on. Then again, if Mario fails, it's unlikely the boosters are going to throw another huge contract out there. This is an all in push, period.

It’s NOT the QB. Emory’s percentage completion against FSU was horrible.

Too many bunch formations with zero creativity or rhythm. Routes take way too long to develop.

The only times that we went full spread formation against the Holes, we gashed them with long runs in the 1st half, because it didn’t allow them to crowd the box.

So what did we do in the 2nd half? Of course, we stuck with the bunch formations, and predictable run on 1st and 2nd down and throw on 3rd & long.

Also, Mario hired the OC, just like last season. Why do you think that is? It’s because Gattis and Dawson either run a system that Mario wants, or are beta enough to run whatever the boss says, even if it’s terrible for the team.

The guys haven’t quit all year - most noticeably @NCST 3rd and goal at the 1 with the game already decided and the defense stops them and forces a FG.

Defense has been very good all year.

Started 5 true freshman with a 6th that came in on the 3rd play of the game against the #4 team in the country and hung with them.

Are there negatives to acknowledge as well? No doubt. Focusing on one side of the coin is disingenuous and that’s my point. I prefer to see both sides of the coin.

Cool they should get after school cookies then. That hasn’t led to wins and hasn’t shown to be anything more than the defense is good. Cool that guys haven’t quit but that doesn’t mean much when you lose consistently which is what Miami has done in two years plus. We didn’t pay 80 mill to hang w teams. We paid to beat them. The big picture is Mario is not better than manny right now and the roster has just as many holes as it did pre Mario just in diff places
