Goodbye Rooster

Everybody on the 2022 roster is free to leave. Obviously they won't, but if Miami can go 5-7 with you they can go 5-7 without you. There are a couple guys I'd prefer to keep but not losing sleep over anybody that's part of 5-7.

another point of view: maybe fletcher and others are inbound and he saw the writing on the wall?

wish the kid luck, i liked him a lot even with his limitations. again, tougher than nails

While yes I agree and hate gattits you can’t blame him for rooster fumbling the ball like crazy. He fumbled so much and we don’t even remember the ones where we recovered.
Yeah he did. And what did he do about it? Came back strong and ran tough with ball security moving forward. Against GT specifically he was gaining chunks and holding ball with two hands like he should. At least he learned.

Gattis is not going anywhere. Welcome to our nightmare.

Where is the hate?

I don't think it's a good decision. Thad is leaving, Chaney/Citizen are coming off of injuries. With a new OC, Rooster has an improved chance of proper utilization.

Going in the Portal? Yeah, he's not landing at Alabama or UGa. With the limited amount of time to evaluate/visit, he is taking a risky chance of finding the right fit/utilization somewhere else.

Sure, the IDEA of "getting a fresh start somewhere else" is romantic. The reality can be very different.
Fair enough. Entering the portal doesn’t guarantee that you have to leave though does it (I honestly don’t know) he could just be testing the waters.

In any event, I think between this year and last years he’s shown enough to get looks at different programs.

We need to bring in at least 3 high caliber RBs given how awful the room is combined with Citizen coming off an ACL and Chaney unfortunately mirroring the Robert Burns career path.

Thankfully we have… oh, wait… 0 RBs committed and Baxter’s heading to Texas.

Best of luck to Knighton. A flawed but dynamic space player who was deployed like Mike Alstott. Great coaching.

He ran for 3.9 yards per carry under Lashlee.

He's only electric on scouting reports.
Yeah and our run blocking was elite with Lashlee right?? Sound dumb trying to use that as an argument. It should have been worse. You don’t celebrate the one explosive guy we have on offense leaving when you’ve got the least explosive offense of all time.

It's pretty incredible to me that Mario is going to waste the first two years of his tenure at this program by hiring Josh friggin Gattis.

Remember a month ago when people clowned me for saying that Rooster was going to transfer? Was I right or was I right. Also, do this mean Gattis is staying? idk how to interpret this
