Palmetto (Fla.) High's*Jack Allison, the player UM hopes will be its next great quarterback after*Brad Kaaya, “still wants to go to Miami” and “likely will be there,” despite the coaching change, his father,*Sean Allison, said Friday. One thing that could change that is if the new coach “wants a dual-threat quarterback; he’s not that,” his father said. “But he is pretty mobile for 6-6.”

Allison, due to arrive at UM in January, is rated the fifth-best pro style quarterback by rivals.com and the 79th*best player overall by ESPN. Offensive coordinator “James Coley*is the reason he committed to Miami, and we’re hoping he stays there, but his commitment is not contingent on Coley,” Sean Allison said.

I'm elated but not surprised. These recruits know a better coaching staff will replace the current one.
 
Thank god. Now there is nothing stoping the next coach from canning coley

Malik shocked the **** out of me on some of those throws he was making. Cant tell how surprised i was that he barely tried to run.

I mean we have talent at the qb spot. I wasn't shocked because we have so much talent its just about using them right. Coley isn't a great oc we know this but he is a really good qbs coach and he showed t again. I hope we get Hermes because he can do what Sunlin/Briles are doing and this talent Herr shows he can
 
We aren't the only job available and Herman is a very sought out man. My prediction is he lands at a SEC or Big 12 school.

coley needed a head coach that could help mold his play calling abilities he is very young at that aspect but growing. Al was a defensive coach so he couldn't help with that beard needs to stay. remember coley never called the plays on game day jimbo did at FSU and still does. our biggest questions are getting a whole new defensive staff especially not retaining paul williams i don't like calling for coaches job because im a GA and i no how hard some of these coaches work but some things got to change heck i wouldn't mind ed reed being our db coach and ray lewis linebacker coach thats just wishful thinking but beard and coley would be the only ones i would consider bringing back coley contingent upon the Head coach if its defensive then probably no but if its offensive then yea because they could help him grow plus he isn't a bad recruiter and talent evaluater

Beard and Scott because Scotts starting to be a team guru. Njoku is getting so much better and with Hermans Njoku should be a superstar

That's my biggest concern about Herman (fit with current QB personnel) so that is very reassuring. Everything else about Herman looks like a perfect fit.

Bowman Sells is Houston's current QB commit for the 2016 class. One of their top QB targets was in-state recruit Dillon Sterling-Cole, another pro-style QB who's verbally committed to Arizona State. They've offered 5 dual-threat QBs and 5 pro-style QBs. Even though Herman's had a ton of success with dual threats, it doesn't seem like he's hellbent on having that type of QB run his offense.

Herman's a flexible coach who adapts to his personnel. I read an article from his OSU stint when he talked about wanting to run a more balanced offense when they had Braxton Miller at QB and Carlos Hyde at RB. But he quickly realized that would've been a square peg, round hole fit. So he turned them into an extremely run-heavy attack that catered to the strengths of their top playmakers and their offense was dominant.

Also worth noting that Kenny Guiton attempted 8+ passes more per game than Miller when he had to start a few games a couple years ago. Guiton was nowhere near as mobile/athletic as Miller, so they adjusted. Herman adapts.
