Golden as UConn's HC...maybe

Golden on the same level as Edsall? Where have we seen this comparison before? Oh…right.

GRUDEN2UM!!

Problem with Al is that the defense that he ran was his defense. He is an old Al Groh defensive disciple. D'Onofrio was just doing what Al wanted. Know for a fact that he was a real prick inside the Hecht .. both he and D'Onofrio wouldn't interact with the staff .. didn't want ideas or recommendations from anyone. Were arrogant and ignorant. Hope he has grown up and developed a better management style. Had a friend who worked on the staff with Butch, Coker, Randy and then Golden. Left in his second year with Golden due to the toxic environment .. and took a job with the NFL.
Nice insight. A lot of coaches are pricks, but that is not why he failed.

If Rutgers, Temple or Monmouth Univ aren't available ... then UCONN is a Perfect fit for Golden.

6-6 ceiling...

We get posts like this and people still manage to find a way to praise that man. He was a horrible coach and ironically had the most experience of any new hire and still fell short.

Yeah i dunno about Manny with Richt. It worked for a bit, but Manny is just not working out as a DC now. Manny as DC seems to have a short shelf life. Lashlee with Richt would have Ben an improvement fur shure.

Manny is making the same mistake as Richt, which is trying to be HC and Coordinator, when those are different jobs for 98% of others. That's OK if you're Andy Reid or Bill Belichick, which those two aren't. Manny showed a lot more awareness as a coordinator because he didn't also have the albatross of running a D1 program attached as a 3x daily responsibility. I think Richt managed Diaz better because he had 20 years of experience at elite programs, mostly as a HC. For example, hitting in practice. Richt emphasized that, even letting QBs get pipped, but Manny backed away from all of it, assuming less injuries meant more production. The result was poorest tackling team in the whole country.

He's a good kid I liked Burns. This is why HS tape no matter wherever u play sfla or west or east means nothing.....he had so much burst hitting the hole in HS but that didn't translate to D1. Although injuries do factor in, ballers just ball. Wish him nothing but success in life.
He only played like his sophomore year. He battle injuries every following year. Tape matters, but he really didn’t have any tape. He was always hurt.

Narcissists are the most employable people on Earth. His ability to keep gainful employment is not a testament to his ability to do his job.

People love Narcs. Narcs have successfully normalized their ways where people are not only desensitized by their tricks, but now actually applaud and defend it.

Golden parlayed the Nevin Scandal into a contract extension after his first season (bush league opportunist).

Do y’all remember the weekend that he went missing, was turned down by Penn State for their HC job? Dude had to call an emergency press conference that Monday to explain where he had been and reaffirm his commitment to UM 😂 a dumb Narc.

Imagine if Randy Shannon did any of this. South Florida would be a no fly zone for him, he’d need private security for the rest of his life.

Tanned, rested, and ready.
But is he thinner?
