They aren’t hiring a first time HC lol. If they continue to strike out then they probably just roll with Poggi for a year and try again next cycle.
I don't know why this would be so egregious. It worked for Oregon with Lanning and Ohio State with Day and Texas Tech with McGuire. If the guy can coach (and I think Schumann can), there is no reason to wait for a bunch of experienced coaches to say no.

I mean I don’t disagree with the overall point, I just don’t see THEM doing it.

Sounds good to me, just keep UGA away from Heatherman or any of our defensive coaches. If they take Brohm away from being around to give us **** every couple years, even better.

i don't think we're type of outfit anymore ... we've done a great job of retaining guys we want

Yep. That is my worry. The ripple effect of Schumann leaving UGA and building his own staff. UGA having to replace those he took with him.

I would be very concerned about any coach on our staff if Michigan hires a new coach.

Besides the money, the amount of “extra benefits” that Michigan can throw at a staff is gonna be scary. This is like a fortune 500 company in full blown panic and damage control mode.

They are literally at risk of being Mid for a few years if they don’t get this right. Look at fsu for example. No one expected them to be where they are right now.

We need to be locking people on our staff who Mario wants to keep.
Nobody in the country has a shinier coat of paint right now than Heatherman and everyone else on that d staff.

For Michigan I like it. Dan Lanning worked out great for Oregon.

I don’t know why Schumann hasn’t been offered a P5 job yet other than ADs being dumb.
supposedly he is very picky. Won't move his family just anywhere. HE's been in the mix before
