He’s the one that implemented it so he’s the head of the snake. They weren’t doing what they did till he got there. They were better than us but weren’t at that top tier level.

Hes easily considered a questionable hire by Kirby from day 1 when he hired him. lol Guys are getting drafted off of traits and the fact that they are a winning program. Mims got drafted high because he was 6'8 340 and could run as fast as restrepo.

Im one of them that think the guy goes to UGA. With his traits he could easily be a high pick out of there as well. Kid cant go wrong to me between us, uga, an oregon...but based on what he stated i think searles would be the bottom coach out of the 3 he is choosing from ans hi stating what he stated was b*ll **** as he basically chose the team he maybe is a fan of or front running with.

Can I pushback without caping for Searels? I absolutely think Alex Mirabal is a better offensive line coach and thought Searels was terrible when he was here. But his resume holds up sorta fine over time?

UNC was a Top 25 rushing yards per game in 2 of his 3 seasons (I know, really good RBs) and Searels coached two draft picks (one of whom was the son of an NFL OL coach and both of whom are now out of the NFL). This isn't exactly proving that he is elite in any way, but it isn't all that shameful either.

Georgia's offensive line was messy last season, but they were also a Top 25 rushing attack the two years before that and putting guys in the first round is putting guys in the first round. Sure, Mims and Jones are athletic freaks, but we aren't willing to give him any credit for their development? Couldn't we say the same thing about Penei Sewell, who is maybe the most athletic offensive lineman in the entire league?

My point is that if Alex Mirabal is the better offensive line coach and if Cantwell chooses Miami, obviously it won't just be about money. But no recruit is looking at Georgia and thinking they can't get developed by Searels (and I am sure Georgia is offering just as much money).

Too Lazy to look it up, but when was the last time Georgia or Searels produced a first round top 10 or top 5 o lineman draft selection?

UNC fans wanted him fired. I literally posted thread on it. He had Sam Howell running for his life and cost them games. He failed up to uga.

He is a fan of SIZE over everything. He will recruit guys with LEAD FEET regularly. His guys will routinely have issues dealing with getting to second level and dealing with line twist and stunts...because hey ..lead feet.
Hes a vet and knows stuff..ive actually stood close to him coaching literally just me him and like 3 players for an hour. lol

The interior guy that went sort of high in the draft this year went high due to lack of OG talent in the draft and a team reached for him. (Tate Rutledge)..The dolphins traded a bunch of picks to draft the samoan guard instead of waiting for guys like Rutledge who there was a talent gap on.


Man @Memnon ive had enough as well im now on board with #DeathtoUGA cause its apparent we have a consistent amount of hybrid uga fans/sec lovers still on here. I thought @Andrew was the only one left.

Nope. Mims started like 8 games total. And at the same point in their careers had 2 starts total. Thats the trajectory im speaking of.

Samson will have a chance to have 2 full szns as a starter here if he stays.

Andrew Thomas in 2020.

Adarius Mims and Broderick Jones were good 1st rd picks in 2023 and 2024. Searles is gonna hang his hat on them. But Mims was a traits pick as he was raw as ceviche on biscayne and it wasnt his game film that got him drafted. Both guys were 6'5 310+ and ran **** near as fast as Restrepo did.

Stop them? no. Make it at least 1-5% more likely to stick with us? Yes. That's an important margin when we're basically talking about a coin flip recruitment of the #1 overall player in the country...
