We had a **** OL year 1 straight *** with Mirabal and Mario who coach, the bodies in the room changed in talent and then miraculously we were good at OL again. It was ages before we seen anything like that.

SEC has paid players well in advance of being on campus, as well as while they were on campus, FOR DECADES.

I have never denied that UM players got a little something while at UM, certainly more in the 2000s than in the 1980s-1990s.

But, still, the SEC has mastered this FOR DECADES.

But if Miami did anything close to what the SEC schools were doing, they faced what Gorilla Monsoon referred to as "fines and suspensions". Nick Saban could loan cars to his own players. Alabama players could post pictures of huge wads of cash in their hands on NSD, and there was not even a murmur by the NCAA. Certainly not by ESPN. Meanwhile, a Miami player getting a couple of hundred dollars was called a great evil, and talking heads on ESPN were calling for the end of the program.

Hypocrites. And horribly detrimental to the long-term of the sport. As Herbstreit accurately said a few years ago, it was a problem when he could instantly and correctly name three of the four teams in next year's CFP a full twelve months out. Because it almost never changed.

The problem is that that it’s hard to recruit against “we put guys in the first round and they practice against guys drafted in the first round” no matter how you want to qualify it

Meanwhile, in coral gables, the recruiting goes like “yeah but, did how many times ward got knocked down?” “Did you see our ypc average? Did you see the holes we were making in the run game?” Etc etc

sucked here. he cycles through because he is an sec alumni, with connections to Mack Brown and a ton of others that he either played withor coached with that wholds weight he is seen as a gray beard. 30 year veteran college coach 14 draft picks. Hes int he SEC matrix....he can get fired at UGA and would be hired at an arkansas or ole miss.

Searels didn’t get there until 2022. Before that, he had horrible units at UNC and Miami.

He inherited Mims and Jones, elite prospects who ended up getting drafted on raw tools. Mims only started 8 games.

This year, those NFL talents produced the 102nd-ranked rushing game in America and got Beck hurt.

Not running down Mirabal, but based on what criteria? Draft picks developed? Conference and national titles? Head coaches associated with? Richt and Mack Brown hired him twice. Kirby could hire anyone he liked.

OL as D$ and others will tell you is about development. Georgia statistically had a subpar offense last season. Couldnt replace Bowers, McConkey and leftovers WRs couldn’t catch a cold, RB room relied on UF transfer and little else.
OL had multiple players miss games, but had developed talent - second and two third round picks.

Top 7 nil. Top 25-35 ish results so far. Gotta be better. The “it’s mannys scrub players excuse”, “Mario needs time excuse.” We can’t keep using them. It’s year 4 if not now idk when it’ll be good. New coaches at Other teams have tuned things around and had results much faster in less time.

Hes busy playing behind guys that are going to be drafted just like the guys at uga...make it make sense.

Adarius Mims says hello...same type of trajectory. Samson has 3 years of elgibility left including this year. There isnt a rush to say which ol can be 3 an out first. lol

The problem is you can’t just stop at 2, and then fill the rest with jags, you need to stay consistent every year bringing in high level recruits
