Gattis leaving?

I truly believe Gattis is as good as gone. I don’t see any other way.
I don’t think the University is thrilled about eating his buyout or that Mario just cost them another 4 million dollars for said buyout, on top of all the money they have already poured into the program to support Mario. I don’t think Mario is too thrilled about having to let him go. It reflects poorly on him.
But Gattis performance has been so abysmal, there is no way you can retain him at this point.
Not only is it unlikely he will bring any value, but he’s a liability, and that equals fired.
Once you become a liability, it’s over.

This surely better be the case because if Gattis is kept on for any reason by Mario then things will go nuclear on this site and within the program.

$4M buyout? Where's this info at?
I have no definitive proof of the figure.
I heard on a podcast he has a 3 year contract and is being paid 1.8 per year. Served 1 year, owed 2.

I’m assuming they pay his full contract out in case of buyout, but I don’t know what the contract states or if the buy out is less.
But I’m pretty sure it more than 2 million though.

Dan Mullen NOW please!

Horrible joke a friend texted me at 4:30 in the morning Plus why would he stay on that didn’t sound right. You’d rather just give ponce a shot at it and him staying on would be completely awkward.

Titles like this get me excited, then **** me off. We are stuck with that bum for at least another month.

If Gattis remains, it will be impossible to recruit offensive skill players, and the season ticket renewals will take a MAJOR hit. Nobody wants to watch that crap offense ... let alone drive a few hundred miles each way to Hard Rock and book hotel rooms for the privilege (my case).

Sometimes I wonder how Ponzi schemes exist or like how those dudes call from Nigeria and say your 3rd uncle twice removed left you a boat, send you social sec number, etc, and then I come on this board and it all makes sense. “There’s a sucker born every minute”. So **** true.

The best and most succinct description of how Gattis got the OC job that I’ve seen.

Unless that guy works in the UM athletic department he’s just passing on fake news.

It’s highly unlikely that any coordinator has a $4M buyout.

Gattis isnt a HC

There is offset language which reduces Miami’s liability based upon his salary at next school
