I’m the same way with the Canes and also the Saints…no matter which way I bet them to win to lose to cover to not cover both of them stick it to me every time I place a bet on them….

It’ll happen

That way, UF has a quality loss, and Mizz stays top 25 for a quality win two weeks later for Ole Miss. They’ll stay in the top 25 because they beat Florida, to give UT a top 25 win the following week.
 
Sumrall is a legit coach but he is setting himself up for failure. Gators fans don't think with logic.

Now the fanbase believes they SHOULD be an 11 win maybe 10 win team. So when he inevitably goes 9-3 that will seem like a failure even though it was a massive improvement.

Then in 2027 if he does the same (Very hard to get past the 10 win hump in the SEC) he is already thrust on the hot seat. Marios rebuild would never have happened at UF because he would have been fired for not making the playoffs with Cam Ward in year 3.


EDIT: They still have not been down the way we and FSU were so they do not have the patience for a rebuild especially with the talent on the current roster

I think he meant vibe and kinda the “out of nowhere” offensive explosions…but yeah that’s crazy given there are quite honestly almost the opposite of 2019 LSU. 2019 LSU could run of course, but that offense was Burrow+Chase+Jefferson. In fact I’d say CEH stats as an underneath dump off and rushing success is because Chase+Jefferson were murdering teams >10yards all season.

This UF team is entirely built on running the ball and generating explosive runs. Like I’d almost say they were similar to Our offense last season, just much better explosive runs - or more like our offense in the playoffs in particular I guess once Fletcher was actually racking up 10+ yard runs.

Mizzou is not even that good and should not be ranked. Mizzou does play tough at home. Here are the 3 teams Mizzou beat this year.

1. Arkansas Pine-Bluff...are they even FCS?
2. Kansas...Kansas is 1-2 on the season, with their only win being against Long Island University. Yay.
3. Troy...Troy is usually solid for a G5 school, but they are 2-2 this year. Troy also lost to Utah State the same margin as they lost to Mizzou. Utah
State is now 1-3 on the year. Only win over Troy.

Sorry for all the Mizzou lovers on here, but I'm not buying into your team. Consistently overrated year after year. You guys aren't bad, but you are really not that good. Had 1-2 good/really good teams the last 10 years. The other years, you have just been mid or slightly above average and this year appears the same, yet you are still ranked just because you are in the SEC.

So, an overrated Florida might go into Mizzou and beat a severely overrated Mizzou. Not saying Mizzou is bad, just overrated and not good. If UF does win, consider me not impressed.

UF? I don't think I'd compare them to 2025 Indiana either. Indiana was a pretty balanced team, and UF's issue is that they are pretty much a running game and nothing more. They have talent at WR and on D, but major depth/injury issues. Indiana was quite the opposite of that.

Fair. I meant more as the team that just gets it done, that wasn’t respected before the season. I agree that IU was more balanced than they are currently, but if we are making ridiculous comparisons it’s just a much better one

I see what you mean. UF has the brand recognition already though. Look how they went from unranked to Top 10 in two weeks, just from beating Auburn and Ole Miss. That never would have happened to Indiana.

Interesting how their running game is struggling now with Mizzou. Best rushing D they’ve played so far. They may still win, but so many expected UF to just crush Mizzou.

Gator hype once again way ahead of their skis.

Missouri slicing through that Gator secondary like a hot knife through warm butter. Sellers and his receivers are looking pretty **** good. But those UF DBs are outright terrible so it’s hard to get a read on how they would perform against a top defense.

All that to say I tend to agree Mizzou doesn’t deserve to be ranked. They’re benefiting from the fake ratings given to the SEC and a terrible UF defense.
