The consensus opinion is the Gators' schedule in 2026 won't be as difficult as the previous two seasons. Yes, Florida will once again face multiple opponents expected to be ranked in the top 25, including Ole Miss, Georgia, Texas and Oklahoma, but UF won't face Miami or LSU, and annual opponent Florida State is once again expected to be a less-formidable foe than it has been throughout the program's history.

David isn't too smart, regardless of being in a coma for the 2025 season. He also really needs to learn when the hyphen (or is it an en dash?) is appropriate.

No real stadium? Hosts CFP and natty games annually, as well as Super Bowls. Not that Gators ever play in any of those games.

A soccer[-]field practice setup? I wasn't aware that soccer[-]fields cost $100 million and included a 162,000 sq. ft. football operations center and two turf fields.

A two[-]decade relevance drought? Speaking of relevance, why are the last 20 years of mediocrity relevant? If you want to discuss non sequiturs, why would the Gators get any recruits when they've had six losing seasons over the past two decades? SIX! And they've fired four coaches in a row! FOUR! Why would any recruit go there?!?

An off-campus environment that makes downtown Atlanta look like a retreat unless the direct deposit is elite? So that's why College Gameday came to that environment last year? They haven't visited Gainesville for a football game since.... *checks Google* ... 2019. And I know there was some other big college football game played there too. It broke records for ticket pricing because the demand was so high, but I can't seem to remember...someone want to let David know?

On the first point, I'm one of the few people that won't really argue with them (because I will always, in my heart-of-hearts, believe we need our own stadium). Before Uncle Ross put a .25 billion into various upgrades, I detested the place (was still there every Saturday). Now, it's nice - though there will soon be absolutely nowhere left to park.

Second one, whatever. I don't expect them to be up to date on all of our infrastructure improvements. Coming from the folks that put out a whole press release 3 weeks ago for buying new squat racks, that they think we are still in the mini-IPF means less than nothing.

Third point is what made me want to comment. We were an arguable playoff team in 25 and had the number one offense in the country. In 26 we played in the last game of the season. We are currently flipping 5* dbs from Kirby. It's past time to retire the "no longer relevant" bit - especially (like you said) when they are on their 3rd coach in 5 years and managed to finish under .500 in 4 of the last 5 seasons.

I didn't even understand what he was trying to get at with the last bullet. Coral Gables is paradise. Not only that, you are a six-minute train ride from Brickell and a 20-minute uber from one of the most iconic vacation destinations on the entire planet. Just say Miami is "too urban" or "they don't speak English" and we'll know what you really mean.

Lastly, "direct deposit elite" is in no way a negative. Yes, we are open for business. Players get paid here; the great ones (specifically, those that star in national championship games) get paid a lot. Spread that from the mountaintops. Besides - every school is paying. Do they honestly believe Jalen Brewster is entertaining the thought of 3 years in Gainesville because the people are nice and they have that one brown water pond you can fish in next to the holiday inn? Surely it's not on account of the good football.
