Tears Gator Tears

Their coach is trying so desperately to be the funny guy on Twitter.
Nahhh… he’s just auditioning for his upcoming gig as funny guy on the sidelines, come September and October after he’s *** gaped (Pause!) by his SEC brethren every week. A comedian that can look at their **** show in jest, is just what they need in Canesville.

We just moved my sister in with us a few months ago, as she has been struggling and poor and living in a studio in San Diego for many years. The only thing scary about those neighborhoods is the smell of weed permeating throughout the air.

Yeah, he didn’t make it past the Bucs’ camp, unfortunately.

This is the absolute BULL**** of Jon Sumrall.

He "PROBABLY" carried a Glock around on his hip.

So, first of all, California is not an open-carry state, or at least it was not so at the time of this alleged (bull****) story. Perhaps Sumrall is confessing to a crime because the statute of limitations has passed, or to build up his street cred. Whatever. All I know is that the University of San Diego is not located anywhere near the mean streets of South Central (as USC is). It's freakin' right next door to Sea World.

Second, I highly doubt the claim of making "less than 20K a year" at USD. Maybe that was his salary as a GA at Kentucky. But in his first paid coaching job, he worked at USD form 2007 to 2011. Before becoming the ASSISTANT HEAD COACH/DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR, he was the DL coach AND the Recruiting Coordinator. Usually when you get TWO job designations, it is BECAUSE the university wants to justify paying you more money. Now, I get that USD is a Division I-AA school, and not as wealthy as SDSU across town. But I find it hard to believe that a college football coach doing TWO JOBS was making under $20K, even at an FCS school. And for the record, USD was a WINNING program in I-AA, the head coach right before Sumrall was hired was a guy by the name of Jim Harbaugh. Who went 11-1 the prior TWO years before Sumrall was hired.

Third, and this is where it gets really interesting, Sumrall has SPECIFIC knowledge of the type of gun (a Glock) but expresses uncertainty as to whether he wore it on his hip every night ("probably"). Highly unconvincing, and the typical evidence of a bull****ter (use of the word "probably" to describe an otherwise highly-specific factual claim).

Finally, and we'll just leave this one here, he claims he is "not in it for the money". Because he was not paid a lot IN HIS FIRST PAID JOB. But, hey, maybe he could see a FUTURE of "money". After all, the guy who was the USD HEAD COACH right before Sumrall took the USD job...went on to have THESE next 4 jobs: Head Coach at Stanford, Head Coach at San Francisco 49ers, Head Coach at Michigan, Head Coach at San Diego Chargers. So, you know, I don't know, maybe Sumrall knew he would EVENTUALLY be paid a lot more than "less than 20K per year". Maybe that's what caused him to coach at SIX DIFFERENT SCHOOLS in the past 10 seasons. After all, we can't expect him to take pay cuts at any of those six different schools, right?

Jon Sumrall is a world-class bull****ter. He may be fooling the Gator recruits for now. But over time, truth wins out.

Wow tried giving him the benefit of doubt. this makes his comment even more ludicrous based on the time line and economic growth that San diego has built. He has to be trolling but tt makes no sense to flex like that in a area that doesn't operate the way miami, Chicago or LA type of area.

Wow! Competing with High School games now? My….. how the ****** has fallen.
Don't hate me, but unfortunately, we have two Friday games this season too...thanks ACC. 🤮 We were supposed to have three, but thankfully the VT game just got moved over to Saturday.

Black Friday, when their game is, always has college football games. We've played in some as well, IIRC against BC and Duke. It definitely still shows how much both teams suck when the FSU-Florida rivalry game isn't on prime time.

And if he bought it legally, making $20k, his first choice for 9mm would have been a cheap Hi-Point.

There are pros and cons here.

The Gator game is at 3:30 pm on a Friday, yes. But it is BLACK FRIDAY.

So while they might get some TV eyeballs on a holiday Friday, I can just imagine the marital debates...

"Honey, can you move your car out of the driveway? I know it's 5 am and you are going to Wal-Mart in an hour for the DoorBusters, but I need to get on the road to Hogtown so that I can tailgate..."

While Black Friday remains a critical day for many retailers and is still arguably the most popular shopping day of the year, it’s no longer defined by the in-person experience. Millions of shoppers are expected to visit malls, big-box stores and specialty retailers on Friday, but millions more are expected to stay at home and shop online from their phones and computers.

This is my point. No Hate bruh. It's true we have 2 Friday night games, but the games against our big rivalries, will be played on a Sat.

Yeah, I got you! And Friday night games shouldn't even be a thing, because as you said, it competes with HS games. But that also just reminded me that HS playoffs are going on that weekend too, at least here in Georgia. Is their game being on Friday going to interfere with hosting recruits in a way it normally wouldn't?

Also, the kid in your avatar is adorable!

David isn't too smart, regardless of being in a coma for the 2025 season. He also really needs to learn when the hyphen (or is it an en dash?) is appropriate.

No real stadium? Hosts CFP and natty games annually, as well as Super Bowls. Not that Gators ever play in any of those games.

A soccer[-]field practice setup? I wasn't aware that soccer[-]fields cost $100 million and included a 162,000 sq. ft. football operations center and two turf fields.

A two[-]decade relevance drought? Speaking of relevance, why are the last 20 years of mediocrity relevant? If you want to discuss non sequiturs, why would the Gators get any recruits when they've had six losing seasons over the past two decades? SIX! And they've fired four coaches in a row! FOUR! Why would any recruit go there?!?

An off-campus environment that makes downtown Atlanta look like a retreat unless the direct deposit is elite? So that's why College Gameday came to that environment last year? They haven't visited Gainesville for a football game since.... *checks Google* ... 2019. And I know there was some other big college football game played there too. It broke records for ticket pricing because the demand was so high, but I can't seem to remember...someone want to let David know?

The irony of his use of “direct deposit” language as well when all those gator checks bounced

Do they really call him Creatine Jon? Is that the new Big **** Billy?

F***k Face Jon was already used I guess, so they had to improvise. Pretty lame, Creatine Jon was weak effort.

They can gloat for now, barely being ahead of us in the recruiting rankings. By signing day, we will be ahead of them. And, if I recall correctly, didn't Napier beat us in last years recruiting rankings? Didn't turn out so well for them. Most recruits don't pan out well for bum *** coaches.
The only time they can be happy is when they hire a new HC and it’s that off season before the season hits and shows all the trash. This is how it is all the time in Florida. They are excited and talking **** because there is nothing to clown until the season. Can’t wait to watch it burn real quick
