Anyone know whose in the lead in the portal bolts between UiF and the Noles…
No surprise
It is not a knock on Philo to say that if Florida is trying to keep contract-year-Baugh and five-star-WRs like Dallas Wilson, then maybe “Philo” isn’t the answer to the question.

I mean I get the allure of wanting to hire a successful g5 coach but this happens everytime a top program decides to go in that direction. No, but this is the same kind of attitude that killed golden and many other g5 coaches. He is settling for a career backup from Georgia tech only because he hired the offensive coordinator. He is not attacking it as if Florida is a premier brand. I’m not saying it currently is, but if you take a significant step up in brand without swinging for the fences on the elite, you’re setting yourself up for failure.

What’s his connection to Sumrall and/or the gator? But he’s been sitting behind Haynes King the past two years and pretty much just doing mop-up duty. The only game he got real reps was the NCST game in 2024 because of King’s injury and that’s the game where he got ACC ROW.
I just think we don’t know yet, but it depends on what Sumrall puts together. I don’t have high hopes for Philo to knock it out of the park at UF given what they are going through, but I don’t think he’s bad.
Sounds like the new coach doesn’t like the blue blood roster.

Now that’s legacy loyalty. The coach who recruited him is gone and he’s going to pass up playing in offenses that will showcase him better and put him in a better spot for the next level.
Yeah, I’d love more kids choosing UM that feel that way - but it’s not necessarily a good business move. Not in this situation. He’d clearly be better off at a better positioned program.Anthony Chickillo level loyalty. As much as I hate the Gators, you have to admire the kid.
