He came from Georgia Tech.Philo was in the ACC??? You mean AAC?
That’s right. I keep thinking about Tulane with Sumrall. He came from Georgia Tech.
Edit: well technically he’s still there.
Which is a shame because he could make it to the league while also making a lot in NIL at any other school.About to ruin their careers
But he’s been sitting behind Haynes King the past two years and pretty much just doing mop-up duty. The only game he got real reps was the NCST game in 2024 because of King’s injury and that’s the game where he got ACC ROW.No. Hence the humor.
No, but this is the same kind of attitude that killed golden and many other g5 coaches. He is settling for a career backup from Georgia tech only because he hired the offensive coordinator. He is not attacking it as if Florida is a premier brand. I’m not saying it currently is, but if you take a significant step up in brand without swinging for the fences on the elite, you’re setting yourself up for failure. But he’s been sitting behind Haynes King the past two years and pretty much just doing mop-up duty. I just think we don’t know yet, but it depends on what Sumrall puts together. I don’t have high hopes for Philo to knock it out of the park at UF given what they are going through, but I don’t think he’s bad.
I don’t disagree with that at all. I just disagreed with the knocking on Philo. ****, it’s kind of a lateral move at this point for him given where UF is as a program these days. If I’m him, I stay at GT unless I get an offer to a program that has its **** together. No, but this is the same kind of attitude that killed golden and many other g5 coaches. I think that’s too early to tell. I know that Georgia Tech fans were very high on him from what I’ve gathered.No. Hence the humor.
