I’ve long believed he was gonna stay at Ole Miss … with the commitment they are giving him plus the landscape of college football today and zero pressure from their boosters and admin there is no reason for him to leave. Yes Fla and LsU can offer some more incentives but if your happy why leave??
 


Apparently they interviewed Clark Lea earlier this week, who just signed a big extension with Vandy. Also, reporting is that Sumrall’s #1 choice is Ole Miss, so if Lane leaves that’s where this ends up I think.

Drink, Lea, and Sumrall off the table = Golesh at best.

My Auburn buddy says Summerall is going there unless LSU misses on Lane and then it could get interesting

Interesting…I thought it was but I didn’t look at anything yesterday because of the holiday and I am now seeing maybe it isn’t? So weird and I could definitely see that UF being in the mix could be a potential reason why.

Guess we’ll have to stay tuned…

Same with the GatorRaid guy on the previous page (quoted by MBG), saying an MOU has been done for a week. He’s just going by what the big boosters said last week - the ones we all told y’all about in this thread. They met with Lane’s camp, Lane’s camp said what he wanted, UF said they would match, and therefore they thought it was a done deal because they didn’t think anyone would ever turn down UF.

Their arrogance really knows no bounds. One of my favorite quotes from earlier this season, when they were still on the Lagway for Heisman campaign and Billy was saying his injuries were fine and he’d be really to go, someone from Swamp 247 said, “Billy would undersell Seabiscuit!” 🤣

Looking like it’s going to be G5 Sumrall.

Sumrall is a really good coach but man the SEC is a whole different animal. I think he can coach but can he recruit in the state of Florida and in the SEC to keep up will be the question.
