He was having an affair with a bat boy's mom. Her estranged husband found out and shot/killed their two sons and himself after setting their vacation house on fire with them in it. O'Sullivan later married her.

Sheesh... that's wild.
Go Gata.

Unfortunately, that O'Sullivan stuff is not surprising to me. The guy can coach them up.
It is just shocking to me, the people (who) is saying Kiffin is a done deal. Staples said, a certain WR asked him coming off the field Sat., who won the Ole Miss/UGA game and cheered, yes when he answered. Their is talk that a certain WR we offered big NIL to there looks to be leaving. He must not be high on Lagway or the backups because I find it hard to believe (anyway) and if Kiffin is coming, shocked. Their is a good 6 players over their I personally would have already back channeled.

Why even leak that info? Isn’t it lane or bust? Shouldn’t they be sending the message that they aren’t looking at anyone else?

I just posted some about this job opening in the Cristobal thread over in Eye. My guess is they come around to a guy they should have had in their top tier to begin with, Fische. This makes to much sense. If they miss on Kiffin, which I guess they do.

The way I look at it, anything he could do at Florida he can also do at Ole Miss.

Recruit at a high level ✅
Compete for SEC Championship ✅
Compete for CFP Slot ✅
NIL $ ✅
Salary ✅

He gets all of that and a far more understanding fanbase than what he’d get in Gainesville. Even 5 years ago, there were 20 jobs in CFB where you could realistically win a natty. Florida was one of those jobs. However, with NIL and the elimination of conference subdivisions (which prevented Ole Miss from ever doing anything), you can win as much at Ole Miss as you can at UF.
True.... and after watching the ESPiN special, "The many lives of Lane Kiffin", I think that he feels some type of loyalty to Ole Miss because they "rescued" him form small school purgatory. IDK if I see him leaving right now. Maybe I'm wrong...he does, and Uf is the spot. It could happen, but he seemed really thankful to the higher ups at Ole Miss., and wants to stay there for a few more years. :noidea:
