Tears Gator Tears

Heard Freeman already said no, but I mean why not try? But (sorry to go this route) a black man being the permanent HC at UF…..ehhhhh yall KNOW there will be some folks who won’t be able to accept it

I dont think Brohm is budging no matter what, Idk if Eli is the right “fit” but he proved by getting an OC last year that he’s willing to make a change. I need more out of Fisch and i’m toooo scarred to take a risk on Summerall.

Franklin???? More of a FSU guy than a UF guy. That’s why I think it’s Kiffin or bust. I just don’t know if UF can afford to be hamstrung by yet ANOTHER big contract that if it fails, on the hook yet AGAIN.

UF has no leverage in negotiations imo
Ohio St would be the only spot Freeman would leave ND for

Wisconsin is in the same spot as FSU, they have to fire Fickell and they do not want to pay him $25 million. You have to fire the man. Go read their AD post today. He is worse than Alford.

I've said it several times, the people in charge at Wisconsin do not have the stomach for modern CFB. They need to fire the AD Chris MacIntosh -- if he is making the next hire, whenever that is, I'm betting the under.

The general public still thinks "being a Badger should be enough" to convince kids to come. The idea of paying kids before proving production still makes people uncomfortable here.

In 7 seasons at Wisconsin, Brett Beilema was 68-24 with 10, 11, 11, and 12 win seasons and 3 B1G titles or share of title. He for Arkansas (FFS) because the UW administration was not providing him with what he needed to compete at the elite level. Gary Andersen was 19-7 the following 2 seasons and left before the 2015 season. One of the reasons was UW made it hard for him to get the athletes he wanted into school. Wisconsin followed that up by hiring Paul Chryst, a "Wisconsin guy" who fit the identify of the program and wouldn't actually press for the significant changes required.

I have no faith Wisconsin is serious about changing its stripes, they just want to turn down the heat from the fans.

EDIT TO ADD: Gary Anderson had to pay $3m for leaving within the first 2 years of his contract! Not the school paying him to go away...

Who would be the next handful on your list if Kiffin says no?

Fisch?
Summrall?
Drinkwitz?
Brohm?
I have heard Auburn has interest in Sumrall. I think the best Auburn can finish is 6-6. With the roster they just gave Freeze, he is getting fired. When's their bye, early Nov.?
I really think UF should be looking at Alex Golesh also, but I understand after Napier. I am very surprised Fische isn't a finalist. I wasn't high on him as a OC here, but he has won me over.

Yea I agree. I think they HAVE to go after Lane as many times as possible, keep pressing and raising the dollar amount. I know Ole Miss is working on something long term for him.

Golesh would make sense there as well. His offenses put up points.

If you watch USF closely, you can’t help but conclude that he and his staff are quality coaches. They have good schemes, they are in position, and they play hard. At the end of this season, Miami may count that win as its best………

If they some how pull off Lane thats good for them.

But I think if they dont get him it will be another higher similar to Napier, Mullin, etc. A "hot name" who you hope is as good as his the numbers show (whether he is a def or off guy) and not just a guy lucky to be a part of an overall good program and looking good because of it.

I'm prepared for them to be let down...so much of these hires isnt just about coaching. You need the right fit. The city, the type of kids that are attracted to that area, your staff, NIL, the current roster, how quick you get buy in from the kids, your first 2 recruiting classes, etc etc.
