I actually do think LSU doesn’t deserve to be a top 5 team. Said it in the rankings thread yesterday. Their O hasn’t looked great so far, and they’ve played the following:

v. Clemson, won 17-10
v. LA Tech, won 23-7
v. UF, won 20-10

Let’s look at some of their stats too, shall we?

Overall:
- 6 TDs in 3 games
- 20 points per game (60 total)
- 347.5 yards per game (1037 total yards)

Passing:
- 705 total passing yards
- 6.6 yards per pass attempt
- 235 passing yards/game

Rushing:
- 332 total rushing yards
- 3.7 yards per rush attempt
- 110.7 rushing yards/game

LSU’s offense is currently sitting at #94, while their defense is #25.

Florida’s offense, comparatively, is #67, and their defense is 28. To my original point on a previous page, however, Florida’s defense has played the #86 and 94 offense (LIU was not even available in the rankings, so that’s all you need to know). LSU’s defense has played the #109, 104, and 67 offenses. (And yes, those are in order of schedule.)

[Btw, our offense is 22 and defense is 38.]

So no, I am not impressed with LSU, and yes, they are fraudulent until proven otherwise. Right now they remind me of our 2017 team. We have played much tougher competition and dominated in all facets of the game. Stop it.
LSU is a bad offensive team. Florida gave them 5 turnovers and they could only turn that into 20 points. They couldn’t do get anything done against Clemson. Now Clemson and Florida have solid defenses but 365 yards and 23 points against Louisiana Tech? LSU’s offense is trash and the gators holding them to 3 points less than Louisiana Tech IS NOT impressive.

I remember the days during the valley of despair when the comic relief therapy we had on Mon/Tues was listening to the Randy/Alf interview soundbites where they were bound to say something meme worthy.
"Guys flying around a cheeseburger" or something like that, idk it's all a blur

Rumors that Dallas Wilson is off the team
D$ kind of subtly hinted at this kids deal a while back. He definitely had some info. Not saying the rumors are true but this kinda reminds me of agiye hall. Killed the spring game and bama thought they had the next one. Then kid gets in trouble. Goes to Texas. Never plays there. Then Ucf I think. Never plays. Now gone forever

Something I was just thinking about: Looking at Lagway’s “illustrious” career, he has played in just four true road games. Four! I’m pretty sure the baby-soft SEC/Florida scheduling gimmick of avoiding real road games is a problem for him.

Against Mississippi State7/7 for 76 yards, no TDs or INTs, 3 rushes for 22 yards, no sacks. He came in once the game was already over, so no real road test here. Also, this was against one of the worst Power 4 teams last year.

Against Tennessee9/17 for 98 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 5 rushes for 1 yard, 2 sacks. He didn’t start this game; he came in at halftime, presumably because of an injury thanks to that O-line (which is still better than ours). He got a taste of road play here, but his performance in the loss was nothing to write home about.

Against Florida State14/22 for 133 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT, 4 rushes for -8 yards, 3 sacks. This was a win, but against what was essentially a G5-level team at home, because that FSU squad was dead last year. Even then, he didn’t exactly light it up.

Last week vs. LSU33/49 for 287 yards, 1 TD, 5 INTs, 9 rushes for 19 yards, 3 sacks. What else is there to say? It was about as bad as it gets. The kid was seeing ghosts and had no answers, This was his first real start in a big time road game and well well well.

So what can we conclude from all this? Florida’s brain-dead fans crowned a “Heisman QB” out of a kid who, before the season, had a 3:2 TD/INT ratio across about 1.5 real road games. Florida is soft. Lagway has now played two true road games, and while our atmosphere isn’t quite Death Valley at night, we can get there quickly—especially if DJ throws an early pick. The hype, as I’ve said all along, was wildly out of line. This dude is going to be shell-shocked. GO CANES.

Bonus tidbit:
The absolute rocket scientists in Gainesville are now calling for the true freshman backup to come in, because he looked good against LIU. You can’t make this up. There is no fan base more out of touch with reality than them.

Rumors that Dallas Wilson is off the team

If true will serve up some excellent tears. Rashada, McClain, Wilson. Those guys are always picking the wrong recruiting battles to win vs us. ... I wouldn't have turned the kid away. But he sure was full of himself, and I wasn't disappointed we swung and missed.

Yeah, I think there was reference to the kid’s tough upbringing and lack of family structure whatsoever. Basically amazing he’s come this far.

This is the most brutal takedown of a coach I’ve ever seen from a professional outlet. It’s glorious!! And when he’s properly eviscerated Napier, he does the same to Freeman!

They don’t have the money like people think they do. They’re barely up for air from paying off Mullen. It’s not enough to match the money, you have to outspend the others. OU, Oregon, Texas, Alabama, LSU, OSU*, TAMU, etc. are spending more money than UF could keep up with already. Then there’s the Ole Miss and Miamis who have entered the chat with big budgets. We’re making so much money through UHealth they’d have a hard time in state, forget national. They aren’t going to be able to buy the biggest name coach and give him the biggest bank. And FSU doesn’t mean **** yet. They beat a declining Bama week 1 and a school no one knew existed.
Florida just gave state schools $20M/yr for profit share… That seems like it’ll help them compete.

What team have they shown that against this season? What high power offense have they stifled? Lsu? Lmao la tech must be a top 5 defense then
They’re also down Banks, who was a huge part of that defense. And like you said, they played two pretty bad offenses in USF and LSU. Very different from us.

I wont argue that. Keeping it a bean, the following players are the ones I felt have repped the logo this season on the field:

Baugh
Slaughter
VB3
Money McClain (he’s been EXCELLENT)
Myles Graham
Gumbs
Sapp

Lagway is looking like a lactose intolerant Cleo Lemon
Wilson?
