I am told that someone got verbal commitments from donors to pay Billy's buy out. Supposedly it is about $22M. Staff costs would be lower at season's end. With the going rate for a top HC being in the $8-10M range that could be a $125M hit. And we thought they had problems paying players in the past.........................
Yes, these figures are correct. Billy’s buyout is currently $22MM.

But they will pony up the money for NIL, etc. once a new hire is made. There is a lot of pressure to not have a fifth failed coach in a row, however.

Being the case, Billy is probably going to get a quick axe. Stricklin would let him hold on if he felt his fate was tied to Billy....
I foresee it happening in mid-to-late October. Latest will be after UGA on 11/1. He’ll give him a bit more of the season to see if he turns it around, but since it’s not going to happen, he’ll let him go early enough to get a jump start on the official search.

I’m sure the unofficial search has begun.

“Best OL in the country”

🤡’s
11 of those TFL’s were against LIU. That’s absurd, even if a few might have been in mop up time when Florida’s 2nd units were in.

For comparison, our O-line who we feel is one of the best in the country, has given up a total of 5 TFL’s thru 2 games. Two against ND and 3 against BC. I think we know who has the better O-line.

They are so delusional they really think Saban would have left a place where he was essentially royalty and could do whatever he wanted, and had a well established network of management, political, and financial support, because he was tired of coaching....and then decide to go to UF! 🤣
He wasn't tired of coaching, he knew NIL would level the playing field and he wanted no part of that. Bammer would have declined whether he stayed or not.

He doesn’t want no part of that with a school who isn’t/can’t pony up. Heard what AJ McCarron said… Bama is light in the pockets now that the gloves are off. It was all good for Saban when it was under the table and he could turn a blind eye.

We tried to tell them that Lagway was constantly injured, out of shape, had very minimal reps, and it was going to bite them in the ***, and they laughed at us. Now look.

We tried to tell them Billy runs a High School offense, it doesn't scare anyone, and his refusal to hire a real OC would be his undoing, and they laughed at us. Now look.

We tried to tell them Billy was a mental midget and had zero ability to call plays and manage the clock simultaneously as a Head Coach, and they laughed at us. Now look.

We tried to tell them their lines were overrated, as they got pushed around by every decent team they played and added nobody, and they laughed at us. Now look.

We tried to tell them the 5 game streak to end the year was fool's gold, much like Miami with TVD in 2021 when we won 5 of 6, barely, against some very average competition, and didn't even win statistically in doing so, and they laughed at us. Now look.

I'll save the full ****nal of my **** talking for the night of 9/20 through probably the rest of my life, because we all know it takes an act of God for these sniveling ******* to schedule us, because as much fun as Saturday was (and MY GOD was it fun!), we still gotta bury them ourselves. But lord help these pansies if someone I'm allowed to have one (1) nice thing and we smack them around next weekend.
