Tears Gator Tears

I decided to slow play my Bull Gator partner and waited to see if he would hide or confess. About 11:45 he came into my office, sat in one of the chairs and put his head in his hands. I almost, almost, felt sorry for him. He admitted that the gators looked like poo. He said they are a reflection of the head coach-stupid, and unprepared. He even trashed the QB which he called “Fat-way”. He fully expects to lose the next 4 games. Then the easy part is the Vols, Dogs, and Noles. 🤣But, his biggest fear is that the AD will buy the excuses and do nothing. Even if he fires Slingblade he said the AD only hires losers. He even questioned all the money that has been wasted on a sub .500 regime. I asked how much was his and without looking up he gave me the middle finger. I asked who his dream replacement coach would be and he said that if they couldn’t get Smart or Lanning [still delusional] he would “take” Kiffin. The next few weeks [years?] could be fun.
Tell your partner that UF's AD Scott Stricklin hired Todd Golden, who just won a Basketball National Championship at UF. That alone gives Stricklin a "Mulligan" for hiring Sunbelt Billy.

Scott Stricklin is gonna have a say on the next football head coaching hire.

Signed,

Peruche

The basketball championship is exactly why the UAA ignored alllllll the athlete abuse scandals and gave him an extension through 2030, a raise, and a guaranteed advisory position for five years under the new AD from 2030-2035.

Stricklin isn’t going anywhere. I’ve been telling y’all this for two years.

Being the case, Billy is probably going to get a quick axe. Stricklin would let him hold on if he felt his fate was tied to Billy....

I am told that someone got verbal commitments from donors to pay Billy's buy out. Supposedly it is about $22M. Staff costs would be lower at season's end. With the going rate for a top HC being in the $8-10M range that could be a $125M hit. And we thought they had problems paying players in the past.........................

Yeah, Mullen was Stricklin’s (the current AD) guy as they were at Miss State together. Then Stricklin obviously hired Billy as well (after shunning interest from other coaches and interviewing no other candidates). The problem is that other than the basketball coach / championship, his tenure has been a mess due to the football failures and multiple athlete abuse scandals over multiple sports.

A substantial portion of the alumni and fanbase want him gone. Of course, the UAA just gave him an extension and raise, which includes an advisor position with the next AD too.

And a new “interim” president just began his term last week, as they are still conducting their second presidential search. It’s a bad situation right now.

Wow, you ALMOST made me feel sorry!!!
