Responding to that last paragraph.... How are you so sure that he's missing throws due to injuries and lack of meaningful practice time and not due to a lack of talent??? He has shown nothing different from last year so was he hurt all last yr as well??? It's very possible dude just don't have it like y'all think he do. He wouldn't be the first QB to have an amazing HS career and flame out in College.

Now one thing I would say is that I don't think the gaytes offense is the right offense for his type of style. But still, the throws he missed and the mistakes he has made has been str8 up mental mistakes. Like that last int against usf. That had zero to due with being injured or lacking practice time.
Because I saw him throwing in his first Spring (2024), prior to these injuries, and compared to now, his throwing motion is completely different. He looked like he had a ton of promise then, given the right coaching and development. I said all this back then too. You can go back and check my posts.

I'm not talking in absolute facts. I'm saying what I'm saying because the Gators DENIED that the injuries and the missed practice time would be a factor.

How MUCH of a factor is anyone's guess. That's a fair discussion.

We are beginning to get a "merger" of sorts, between the injuries/missed practice time and the poor coaching/playcalling. You mix all that together and I could definitely see a loss of confidence and some mental errors entering into the discussion.

But by no means do I think all of Lagway's problems are "mental". Or unfixable. But perception will soon become reality if the kid doesn't heal, can't practice, and has to deal with all of Slingblade Billy's bull**** during the games.

As for your last sentence, this is pretty much what we were saying last year too. You've got the fastest WR on the field (Eugene Wilson) and they keep running bubble screens and short passes to him. This is why I argue that the problems are bigger than ONE GUY having "mental" lapses. Slingblade Billy is literally using ALL the pieces of the offense incorrectly, and he is wasting MULTIPLE players' talents:

---Lagway playing hurt and then being asked to do stuff that he can't currently do with his injuries and zero practice time.
---WRs who could stretch the field are being fed bubble screens for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
---Any RB who gets into a groove (particularly Jadan Baugh) are suddenly put into a deep freeze.
---Do the TEs even play? Are they even used in pass patterns? It certainly doesn't look like it.

I can agree with some of your analysis, but this goes beyond Lagway.
Just adding that a HUGE reason why they are only running bubble screens and short passes to the WRs is because LAGWAY HAS A BUM SHOULDER.

Watch his throwing motion in the USF game when he tries to throw beyond five, eight, ten yards. Then compare to the way he threw last year.

Yes, Billy is a horribly uncreative playcaller. But his QB is good for nothing more than handing it off or little dinks and dunks. They are screwed.

I want blood on 9/20. I want LSU to break them next weekend and then I want them to quit the weekend after that when they come to South Florida. I want our backups in when 4Q starts.

That Florida Offensive Line is an all you can eat Golden Corral buffet. Bain, Mesdor, Lightfoot, Moten, Blay, Scott, and Blount are going to feast.

I agree that Lagway’s injuries and lack of practice reps are affecting his play. His line and play calling didn’t do him many favors on Saturday but he missed a bunch of open reads. This is an inexperienced player who needed all the off season reps he could get but barely got any practice. He also looks fat, which is not a surprise seeing Florida’s nutrition program consists of eating as much junk food and gaining as much weight as possible.

I’m sure the mayo Mac and cheese isn’t helping.

Ticks me off because our best OL unit is Barber, Harris, Slaughter, Kearney, and Caden Jones which we used Saturday from time to time but we still refuse to accept it and continue to rotate every other drive
