He isn't wrong. The D seemed to be fine but that offense just isn't built to win in the SEC and Napier refusing to hand over the reins to someone better is likely his downfall. I mean didn't Guidry basically call them basic and easy to defend and we saw how much he sucked as the year went on.
I feel like Florida is the only P4 opponent who didn’t light up our defense.
Most college football media members can’t /don’t watch the games. They see that Florida had a winning streak to end the year that turned their season around. They see that it coincided with a quarterback change. They automatically credit the quarterback for the season turn around.

Completely agree. Maybe 20 pages back in this thread I did a breakdown of his stats. Nothing incredible. Even did a breakdown of him vs 2021 TVD and again, nothing amazing.
Been screaming this at any and every gator fan I come across. You would think Lagway just had Tim Tebow's '09 Stats the way some of them are talking about him. None of them acknowledge that their defense was borderline elite to end the year and their running game was the engine that made them go. DJ threw a few nice deep balls that got coordinators playing them a bit differently and that helpd the rest of the O for sure. But outside of MSST who everyone put numbers up on, they had one other game all year where they put up 30 or more against a P4 team. I'm supposed to be afraid of THAT?!
