I've seen this thought process in a couple of places. The NCAA already got paid they really do not care about the viewership of the Final Four in 1 year of their contract. They get the same amount regardless of how many people watch and given the numbers March Madness does every year they will have no trouble getting their next multi billion dollar deal when the current CBS contract is up.

Two things stick out in their ridiculous responses:

1st- Miami winning a natty would validate everything Ruiz is done is incorrect.... Miami winning would put the cherry on top. Just making it to the Final Four and taking down a # 1, 2 and 4 seed and winning the ACC season championship has already validated it and you can bet he will build off it even more. Furthermore the ladies making the elite 8 with the Cavinder twins have validated that.

2nd- The idiot saying if we lost to a small school in Boca...FAU has a higher undergrad student enrollment by almost double than the small private school in Coral gables FYI.. we know your all just used to looking down upon everyone who isn't the "flagship"

All this. Our NIL has already been validated and elevated whereas theirs came crashing down. I believe this will energize our NIL efforts regardless. There’s a lot of punch pressure per square inch in basketball. A lot of positive exposure for a lot less money than in football. This will go a long way for us in football too.

Miami had the 2nd least amount of transfers out of the Elite 8 teams. Think about that. Texas' transfer-rich team was built on NIL, as were others. Pack, Wong, Poplar as well as the bench are all home grown. And Miller was a pre-NIL transfer from George Mason.

We used NIL to retain kids and top off the roster, as it should be.

I thought Pack and Wong were transfers? I recall Pack transferring with an NIL deal - $400k???
