It just seems so odd that 1. NIL is not supposed to be pay for play or have school involvement; 2. Ba-lake reports the Rashadas are speaking to the University of Florida today; 3. That this is not a recruiting issue and 4. Confirms it is NIL based.

So if it is not recruiting and is only NIL, why is UF involved at all? Unless he meant speak to the Gator Collective but that is not what he said.

UF would be involved if an LOI release has been requested...

...which everyone denies has happened, of course...

I think you meant NLI not NIL correct? Which I agree so that means Harlan told them yesterday Jaden has not "filed" for his release, but then would be speaking to UF today and in your scenario it would be about his release from his NLI but Ba-lake is saying this is all NIL related.

if he never signed a nli, than he's free to go wherever. ***** them though.

Sorry, meant to type LOI, not NIL.

I believe he signed an LOI in December, but he could have signed a Financial Aid Agreement. Because of the story about asking OUT of the signed LOI, it would seem that he did sign an LOI, otherwise the rebuttal would have been "he doesn't need to ask out of something he never signed".
