Definitely debateable. Neither is an upper echelon OL. Admittedly, I am not as familiar with yours. But ours is much improved and playing better than expected.

Lol im in the same boat as you; im just saying **** to stick up for our OL lol. Our first 5 has been darn good this year as well. Put it this way, both of our OL’s are substantially better than 2021

Gaytors just making room for all the 5-6 stars they got coming…

I hope we offer his WR teammate Jaren Hamilton. We got him on campus finally last Saturday and i think he’s waiting on an offer or waiting on Bama to greenlight him

Torrance is better than anyone we have playing right now. Our center play right now is horrid and oleawasun and Scaife are no bueno. It’s not our strongest position to argue.

Stop being ridiculous. You ignore the fact that we've had numerous injuries, so we aren't even playing our "first 5".

So you think you're getting a DIFFERENT Buchholz player? Good luck with that...

We’ve had injuries on our OL too and the OL still held up to the point Austin Barber, redshirt freshmen, who stepped in for Tarquin when he was hurt, been named mid season freshman AA.

You always put words in my mouth. When and where did i say we are getting him?

I hate your guts man.

You are always fair and respectful in here, full of good takes.

But I see the screenname and the Avi and I always think you’re such a ******* for making me like a gator fan.

Look, you can play all the semantics games you'd like, but stop acting like I'm making up things that you say or write.

So you "hope Florida offers" the kid...you say you think the kid is waiting on an offer...you talk about how Florida just got him on campus...and all of that has absolutely no impact on whether you think Florida is getting him? Give me a break already. If you want Slingblade Billy to offer the kid, it is obviously because you think that the Gaytors have SOME kind of a shot with him.

But let's really think about this. Rivals has him as a 3-star with a Gaytor offer. 247 has him as a 3-star with a Gaytor offer. Notoriously unreliable on3 has him as a 4-star with no Gaytor offer. As I recall, the space shuttle used to make navigational decisions based on the consensus of 2 out of the 3 onboard computers.

Look, I don't know what's going on with this kid's offers, but I highly doubt he's getting a greenlight from Alabama. He might have talent, but Bama can pick from the cream of the crop and not wait around to see if his stats and/or height improve during the second half of his senior season.

Feel free to illuminate us with any insight into why a kid from BUCHHOLZ, who seems to have multiple offers from SEC schools (including Alabama and Tennessee, unknown if they are "commitable offers") is not some sort of priority for the Hometown Hogtown Gaytors (at least before now)? Has this kid recently started torching North Florida powerhouses like Branford and Bradford and Eastside? Just curious.

Only thing i wasn’t fair about recently was my over the top optimism of AR going into the season. I bit hard on him being a top 5 QB this season and I was NOT allowing anyone to tell me other wise lmao

Yea you spewing out the mouth again jumping all over the place. I’ve spoken on Hamilton before in this sub forum before and made mention that im surprised Miami havent offered him because he’s talented which is why I want UF to go after him, not because he would be some mortal lock to UF.

And you say Bama can get the cream of the crop, but they actually got a low rated WR in Prentice last cycle while we was still a Maryland commit and mid to low rated 3* (he eventually got the Bama bump rankings wise).

All this other stuff you typing out…not really necessary or relevant tbh

To threadjack a bit, Jay is a good soul, he does a lot of charity events, including several in south florida, and donates his fee to the charity. He makes it a point to make the rounds and thank attendees for their support of the charity, and he is also quite funny to boot.

conan o'brien does not endorse this message.

There you go again, putting words in my mouth. I never said that YOU said he's a "mortal lock to UF".

I'm going easy on you because I know you're still dealing with the heartbreak of beliving in AR-15. But you are slso overreacting to a good-natured jibe about whether the Gaytors have a shot at Hamilton, so chill the F out.

I'm not a "there's good people on both sides" kind of a guy. The QB issues at UiF and UM are not the same. The OL issues at UiF and UM are not the same. I'm not going to lie and say otherwise in the pursuit of a happy Kumbaya moment.

As for Kobe Prentice, don't come in here and try to sell me ****e by telling me it is shinola. Allow me to disprove your nonsense with analogizing Prentice to Hamilton.

Prentice is a kid from "right down the road" from Tuscaloosa, just as Hamilton is close to Hogtown. The comparison ends there (for now). Sure, Prentice was ranked 1163 in the composite at the beginning of July 2021. Then he was bumped to 840 a week later (PRE-COMMIT), surely because one rating service did an update. The real "Alabama bump" came two weeks later (when he committed), as he went to 555 in the composite.

And the story would end right there if he was truly a "diamond in the rough" who only benefited from an upgrade due to Alabama's acceptance of his verbal. But, noooo...at the end of October, he juped to 227. By December, he was at 147. And between mid-January and early-February, his composite was in the 70s. THESE rankings increases would seem to be due to his on-field play, not his JULY 2021 VERBAL.

Now, compare Jaren Hamilton. As I mentioned, he is a 3-star on both Rivals and 247. And maybe he will go up. But we don't have anything to compare at this point.

Which is EXACTLY why I asked you the question. Because if you would put aside your emotional outbursts for a minute, I specifically asked you why this kid was "waiting on an offer" from Florida (though 2 recruiting services say he DOES have an offer).

The simple fact is that the kid has played well for six games. I don't have his stats for the Sarasota Riverview game or the Gainesville High game (???), but he had a great game against Oakleaf, and has caught 2 or 3 passes per game in his other conference games.

The point I was making is that Alabama ACCEPTED Prentice's commit in the summertime. Before the season. And if they felt the same way about Hamilton, they would have done the same. Now, sure, MAYBE Hamilton will have a great senior season (which is what I asked you about), but as I said, Alabama isn't big into taking "great senior season" guys, they usually have their targets set by the summertime. That's not a slight. Hamilton may yet be the best WR we've ever seen.

But then it begs the question...if he is so good...and he is in the Gaytors' backyard...and if he has (admittedly) had a good first half of his senior season...WHAT IN THE FVCK ARE THE GAYTORS WAITING FOR? This is reminiscent of the (too) many situations where former Miami coaches were late in recognizing local Miami WR talent.

So stop sniffling and stuff your emotions in your pocket. Hamilton is, indeed, an interesting prospect with some potential intangibles (he's also a good returner). If it's TRUE that the Gaytors have not yet offered, the coaching staff should have their heads examined. And if the kid is waiting for Alabama to make a committable offer...it might not happen (and not because he isn't good)...which would SEEMINGLY leave the Gaytors in the driver's seat if (a) they had offered earlier and (b) weren't so intent on ****ing off the Buchholz coaching staff.

Just some harmless observations. Not a personal attack on you, though you took it as such.

Relax, man.
