Here's what is weird.

Nobody disputes that Urban Meyer was a great hire for Florida. Yes, he came from a G5-level school, but that same school is now in P5. Florida hired Meyer when Notre Dame was also trying to hire him.

But since that time?

McElwain came from G5. Mullen came from the SEC, but had past history at Florida under Meyer. Gaypier came from G5.

They are desperate to recreat the Urban Meyer Miracle. They keey trying to go back the well, and they keep failing.

AND THEY CAN'T EVEN RECOGNIZE IT.

On top of that, wasn’t Utah undefeated and in a New Years bowl when urban was there? It’s not like he was 8-4 in the sunbelt

What they don't realize is that each time they miss on a big time kid is makes it even more unlikely they are going to land the next one. No big time kid wants to play with scrubs. UF may end up in a bit of a recruiting death spiral.
