D’eriq King’s high school back up almost did win the heisman… and he ended up 4th on the depth chart in Tampa his rookie season.

So maybe the turds should pump the brakes a little when it comes to forecasting the future nfl stardom of their qbs. Has one Florida qb ever made a pro bowl, let alone an all-pro team? Unless they want to claim cam newton. Danny Wuerffel did win mvp of the 2000 World Bowl while quarterbacking the Rhein Fire to victory, but besides that…

We need to stay on Cormani till the very end I dont get why we are falling behind in this recruitment...gators suck (I think they will be pretty bad in recruiting) and bama has 2 - 5 star corners in their state...we can win this imo

I would also add that the coaching dynamics at Florida might involve Corey Raymond moving on after this season. Time will tell.
 
They just got crystal balls for OL knijeah harris from 4 people including Ivins, Lake and Alderman. They’ve got CBs on Derrick Leblanc from Wiltfong and others. Same with Wiltfong for AJ Harris, the number 2 CB, though at a lower confidence. They have the vestals for Cormani too though just Alderman and Newberg. Landing these guys would have to skew their class into a higher final ranking. It’s a long way off though. I could see flips and decommits as well.

I would be shocked if they actually get anyone of those guys outside of Leblanc and Harris but yes time will tell...AJ Harris recruitment reminds me of the kid from last year that committed to us and then flipped to Bama during the season

I can’t imagine the number 2 QB in the country being from Alabama and them getting him over Bama but I think he was liking Corey Raymond at LSU

Our class was ranked 17th last cycle in what, 2 months so passing Mullen’s best class (rankings wise) isn’t something insurmountable.

And lets be real, we allll knew, and former coaches/staff has said that Mullen use to take anyone late to enhance recruiting rankings and its perception Lol smh.

It’s too early for me to **** on the recruiting of Colbert at the WR position when a game hasn’t been played yet buuuuuut it’s something to keep an eye on. Ideally, if it were up to me, our WR class would be:

Mizell
Tyler Williams
Eugene Wilson
Creed Whittemore would be a plan B guy if we couldn’t get Wilson or could get Creed late.

Patterson and jit would just offered, along with Creed would have to wait to get a commitable offer if it were up to me. Just my opinion *shrugs*
 
of all the schools to get a corch that obviously isn't worried about stars it couldn't have happened to a better school than the ones with the biggest star whores in the country...

Mullen’s best class was 7th I believe? Last year’s 17th ranked class would have been higher if Billy hadn’t chased off some of Mullen’s best guys.

Tried to explain the deal with the older Bull Gaytors. The SEC plantation mentality is a real thing, no matter how many 25 year olds want to post about how racism is over and they "don't see color".

Lots of other people DO, though. Particularly SEC alums. A lot of SEC universities fought against black admissions until the 1960s, and even then, the minority numbers were small.

Lots of older SEC alums are NOT happy about the power dynamic being reset.

Yeahhhhh. Look, we can all understand and appreciate Corey Raymond's loyalty and long tenure at LSU, but the job at UiF is just a job. What is it going to take for everyone to see it, along with Raymond too? Maybe a Gaytor recruiting class with four 5-star DBs and everyone else at a 3-star rating?

I don't even think it would get to that point. He will see it in practices, off-field stuff, film breakdown, etc. I think Napier is a better football coach than Manny, but using Manny as the example, the guys like Lashlee or T-Rob could look around and know that was not going to work.

But to your point and like Mario said day 1 - it's all about talent acquisition. You can get a few studs here and there, but to win consistently and compete you need to be doing that at all positions and year after year. They can get Leblanc, Cormani, Harris, and a couple of others. If the other 20 guys are like these WRs it is not going to work and they will be looking for a new coach (again) in three years.
