That guy being a practicing attorney makes me cringe. The entire premise around the NIL push is so that student ATHLETES could use their name image and likeness to secure marketing sponsorships by way of being a University student ATHLETE. That's the entire point for them to use their recognition by being a student athlete of (insert university) to capitalize on opportunities. Guy's a putz.

Also, him being so bent out of shape about that deal is because he obviously is incapable or comprehension and rationale thought. As others have pointed out it's offered as a collective agreement to all the individual teammates. It's not the University executing the deal. Each individual can sign on or not. There is nothing binding them to that deal. At least that I was able to find.

Figured their 247 would be all over it as he was a 5* transfer from UGA and supposed to be a big time D contributor for them.

I didn’t read it yet but there are two threads. One saying something like this and another about how some UGA writer made stuff up.

This was the tweet I saw from a UF SI writer. He confirmed an injury, could not confirm a timetable, but said the injury was in June as Cox was fine, then 2 days later he was seen in a boot at some recruiting events.
