Tears Gator Tears

Also, I don't think Alderman really believes that UF is still in it. He's got to keep the membership coming back for more. There's one poster who seems to get it - calls himself JeffDemps -

"Right, eveyone does know, but it’s pretty obvious that the 247 staff has been asked to keep it quiet out of respect. Ivins has the inside info in Coral Gables.

Blake was told to keep the J Brooks commitment quiet and he did. Ivins came across the J Brooks info independently and immediately dropped a CB. Don’t be so naive."

Alderman denied this was the case but no one believes him. Alderman said "I mainly don’t want to change my pick unless I know for sure. Because I’d hate to have to change it and then have to change it back." Pretty lame if you ask me...
10 pages back I said they would blame Alderman for not doing whatever they think Ivins did. Glad to see they did not disappoint.

Didn't you hear the news? In order to catch up to Miami's two 30-for-30 documentaries, UiF is commissioning a sequel to their first (very) successful 30-for-30 documentary (on Aaron Hernandez).

The second Gaytors doc is going to focus on how UiF went from being an exclusively white male educational institution with a horribly racist "Gaytor Bait" chant to a much more progressive and predominantly white male educational institution with the most widely recognized and iconic alligator "brand", and that ONLY ONCE did the institution mistakenly put a picture of a crocodile on the cover of the media guide.

Check your local cable listings for broadcast dates and times.

Quite literally, that might be one of the most fundamental differences between UM fans and The Gaytor fans.

UM fans want to play Uif every single year.

Gaytor fans generate every excuse in the book. We aren't traditional rivals (we are). Stadium. Tickets. Quality inter-sectional games. UM fans attacked our band. SEC-SEC-SEC is so strong.

To make matters worse, Miami is the PERFECT game for UiF, as they never have to leave the State of Florida (even when they are on the road). They can continue their 30 year history of rarely (if ever) leaving Florida for OOC games.

Don't forget the old, "We already play OOC against F$U every year" excuse. They love that one.

Its so easy to predict their reactions. I wish predicting my wifes reactions were the same

only because the state forces them to. seriously how often do they leave the state to play anyone?

Assuming you meant out of conference as obviously they play other SEC teams out of state but to seriously answer your question... about once every 15 years.

In 1991 they played Syracuse at Syracuse (lost)
In 2017 they played Michigan at Jerry's World so not technically an away game but they left Florida (lost)
The last time they won an OOS out-of conference game was in 1989 against a 2-9 Memphis State team
The last time they won an OOS out-of-conference regular season game against a team with a winning record....1947

right, that's what I meant. it's kind of pathetic. But in conference they go to 3 places this year, Knoxville, TN...Oxford, MS, and Nashville, TN...and I hope they lose every single game. I don't know how they allowed the annual Georgia game to be played in Jacksonville. Which is 71 miles from Hogtown, and 330 miles from Athens.

Which Mullen has been doing on the reg.... how many kids does he lose each cycle to "not qualifying" or some other stupid reason...
Attrition will be the real downfall of their program. I posted a link the other day, possibly earlier in this thread, to an article basically saying 1 out of every 4 kids Mullet's staff has signed has either transferred, been kicked off the team or never enrolled. More than half those kids were 4 star recruits. It's going to be incredibly tough to field a competitive roster when 25% of your recruits either leave your program or never play for you in the first place.
