You almost defined the full life cycle of a Gaytor recruiting timeline.

Brag about having an "early lead". Deny any reports that recruit has interest in rival schools. Confidently claim they will flipz any recruit who commits elsewhere. Claim he "wasn't a take" and they were "big game hunting" when the recruit signs with another school.

Repeat annually.
