There’s always 1-2 bowl games a year like that where you can make real money. Michigan was headed into the OSU game with the playoffs in their control. Beat their biggest rival, and they’re a heavy favorite to win the big 10 champ game and make the playoff. They lost, and their season was over. Meanwhile, UF had no championship hopes past midseason. But they did have a good year going, and winning a NY6 game and 10 games would be a HUGE accomplishment considering the last few years they’d had. Very motivated team vs team who couldn’t care less....we know the outcome. Happens every year in bowl season.

Gary and Bush- two first round picks didn’t play and Higdon 1,000yd and leading rusher didn’t play. I’d classify that as significant talent missing

I said "that much" talent. My point is, that's not why they got killed. They got killed because they were 60 minutes away from the playoffs and then their season ended. Motivation was a much bigger factor in that game than players missing. We all saw what happened the previous season when those 2 teams played and both were motivated to play.

And again, is yet another reason why 2019 UF = 2018 Miami. 2 teams with a lot of false hope from the previous season who aren't nearly as good as their fans think they are.
