Florida coach Dan Mullen’s strong, personal beliefs about violence toward women haven’t resulted in a zero-tolerance policy for his program.
Although Mullen expressed disappointment in having two players and a staff member accused of violence toward women in the past month, he acknowledged Wednesday that he’d “be hypocritical if you look at my history to say to that is a 100% deal.”
Mullen’s past experiences explain why safety Brian Edwards and Otis Yelverton, an assistant director of player personnel, remain part of the program.
“Obviously, anybody that knows me, I like to take an extremely strong stance on that,” Mullen said before a stop on his annual booster tour. “I don’t see anything acceptable about that, any violence against women, whether it’s a violent act or a wrongful sexual act toward women. But I also like to have all the information before making final decisions.”
Also, this:
Even if Marco is close to 100%, is he going to have the stamina and will the knee be strong enough to make it a whole game in 90 plus degree heat and humidity a whole game?
The game will be played on the same grass surface that took Graig Cooper's knee.
Let's keep something in mind, something that forms the CRUCIAL difference.
When Jawand Blue and Alex Figueroa were CHARGED WITH sexual assault, they were expelled from UM.
Do you want to know what the LEGAL result was? They went through pre-trial diversion and the charges were dropped.
So, even without a CONVICTION (which many posters like to think is somehow "necessary" to conclude that an accused person "actually did" what he/she was accused of doing), we expelled 2 accused rapists BEFORE the legal outcome was determined.
But somehow Mullet claims that he needs to have "all the information" before taking action. And we are supposed to believe that when the charges are dropped, THAT IS THE TIME that Mullet takes action.
Yeah. No. Not true. A load of BS.
Non-practicing for 23 years now.Yep, absolutely spot on. We like to think innocent until proven guilty in America. I agree with that. I am yet another non-practicing attorney of CIS. The problem with domestic violence and sexual assault (and this is without the party being an athlete or whatever), is that a lot of times the victims will drop the charges, refuse to cooperate, etc. In turn, the charges get dropped because there is no evidence or, in some states, the victim is the party that has to actually press charges. So there is quite a bit of grey area in the presumption of innocence when it comes to these charges. However, how you could watch that video and let a guy on your team (or on your college campus)... there is no grey there, and it tells me all I need to know about him and the information he needs. Bunch of rubbish.

Jeremiah Moon grew into a DE?Zachary Carter/Jeremiah Moon /John Greenard (transfer from UofL) are going to be the DE's opposite of Zuniga. Carter started to come on the last two games and has all the talent in the world, but still need to show it when going up against starters.
It was actually replaced the year after it took coops knee. RIPThe game will be played on the same grass surface that took Graig Cooper's knee.
It will be an interesting match up I wonder if Hendo is gonna cover jt4 the whole game because if jt4 is guarded by Marco its gonna get nasty real quickZachary Carter/Jeremiah Moon /John Greenard (transfer from UofL) are going to be the DE's opposite of Zuniga. Really is going to be a darn good match up. I remember wishing that our staff had went after JT and recruited him out of high school. He's special. Hendo is REALLY good but we'll see how he holds up now with attention on him.
It was actually replaced the year after it took coops knee. RIP
So the CB room right now is:
Henderson- who’s a good player
Wilson- who will be less than a year removed from an ACL tear
McWillians- Bobby Knowles 2.0
Freshmen
Trey Dean- who’s not really a boundary CB (similar to striker)
I know we want to run a lot of 2 TE sets but Enos has to spread it out early and see how they react.
