I know you are joking, but this will never happen, at least not until the stadium reno is finished in a few years. That's the only reason they extended him, despite all the scandals. Stricklin got lucky as **** with Todd Golden, but he's really just a goofy *** figurehead.
 
Regarding Tom Petty, I saw him at the ABC lounge in Gainesville in the 70's. Right down toward I75 from campus on the north side of the street. Can't remember if there was a cover. If so, it was cheap because I was pretty broke back then. Place had the circular bar that rotated. Good times. He's from there.

If anyone starts abusing him or being stupid like a couple tried doing when Northern Gator posted here, and I’m on the board and see it, I’ll ban them. Initially from the board and then likely from this thread minimum. If we’re inviting them here, don’t be ********.

Yeah, he worked at UF too. They gave him an honorary doctorate a few years back.

I'm sure they take a stab at Lane. Fisch & Golesh seem more in their zone. Don't see Franklin going into the SEC pressure cooker or Freeman leaving a solid situation.

I foresee it happening in mid-to-late October. Latest will be after UGA on 11/1. He’ll give him a bit more of the season to see if he turns it around, but since it’s not going to happen, he’ll let him go early enough to get a jump start on the official search.

I’m sure the unofficial search has begun.

I think their fanbase would riot if it was Franklin. No way they can hire they guy that just got fired for failing to win the big games. Not with their unrealistic expectations
