What if.. Billy goes on a 2021 Manny Diaz run to end the season?

Lets say UF goes 7-1 from here on out and 5-1 against ranked opponents. His only loss is against UGA by a FG.

Lagway puts up TVD numbers (365 ypg, 3.3 TD and 2 total interceptions) and looks like a perfect fit for Napier's system. Napier finishes the regular season 8-4 and the bowl game looks winnable.

Would Napier survive?

In the interest of causing maximum pain and suffering, if this were to happen and the UF fans have a change of heart, Napier should throw up the double bird and head off to Oklahoma State or Virginia Tech (preferred by yours truly for a guaranteed win every year for us).

Exactly. It would lead chaos for them and I'm all for it. He's pretty much stopped recruiting. A complete turnaround would create a **** storm for them. I mean.. we still had people defending Manny on this board until the second he was fired. The same thing would happen to them.

I do think they balk, they may upset the vastly overrated longhorns

This already happened last year. They were 4-5 after losing to Texas and then won their last four games including games against Ole Miss and LSU. They finished 8-5, took all the money they were pooling for Billy’s buyout and bought a bunch of recruits with it and now they’re right back where they started.
