Mario might have made some **** hires in hindsight but he’s not to stubborn to move on. That’s crucial to being successful, lots of great coaches have failed due to not having this trait.

Also, **** Lagway

Gonna take the other side of this. DJ is closer to cam than hurts. He made elite throws as a tf. He has tremendous arm talent and he has insane expectations for next year. He will almost certainly fall short of these expectations
Can’t be compared to Cam if you barely even run (or at least not successfully) though. Cam was an elite runner. In that sense I’d probably compare him more to Josh Freeman than Cam tbh.

Maybe a Carson Wentz, Jay Cutler, Big Ben, or even Dak Prescott.

Let’s also remember that Lagway got hurt against Georgia (he was 2-6 47 yards) and then missed the Texas game with an injury. So he only played like one series against the two best teams on their schedule. He made it back against a good Ole Miss defense but threw for all of 180 yards. Florida got outgained 464-344 but Mississippi turned it over three times while Florida just had a Lagway interception.

There’s a lot of stat padding from Samford, Kentucky and Tulane on his season numbers. Combined with a bunch of games where he only played part time (a combined 11-11 126 against Mississippi State and UCF) .

Yes. The first guy who responded is a real genius. They shouldn't believe the SEC coaches. Instead, they should listen to the DC that Miami fired, plus PanhandleG8TR's friends...

Actually think I remember Guidry saying the opposite. Plus based on how our defense couldn't line up properly if they were some complicated scheme I would think they would have scored more.

Miami’s defense gave up at least 28 points to every P4 team they played besides Wake Forest, FSU and Florida.
