Taking them was certainly mind altering. Picking them was pretty easy. You just have to find a middle of nowhere cow field and go when it’s been rainy for a bit and the ground/cow turds are saturated. My buddy and I would fill Publix bags and just give em away.

When I was growing up on the Beach in the 80’s, stoners would drive out to Hollywood by the Sportatorium and pick shrooms. 🤣

In the 90’s there were still a ton of cow fields in Broward but for whatever reason, mushrooms didn’t grow here. They were abundant in the Orlando area. Although the farm in Sanford is now a paved parking lot for an office center.

I went to the Sportatorium one time to see a 3 Dog Night concert in the early 70’s and sat for 2 hours and they came out and said it was off….after driving from Key West to see it I was ****ed.
