I love when they project their future star rating. It's always just a bunch of kids who happen to be uncommitted and can therefore be penciled in, along with a few flipz for good measure. No sense of irony about having to go 100% on kids who are marginally into them plus flip a couple kids from better teams. And the upvotes just come flooding in.

@RVACane

It's a good pick up at a position of need. Film is difficult to evaluate cause in HS, he's not used as a LB primarily so there's going to be a bit of a learning curve when/if he gets to UF.

Really need to apply pressure to Lewis Carter(OU) and Pup Howard (USCe) cause we'd be well served to add two more LB's.
They’re comparing him to Burney. That’s not promising

I’m predicting UF goes 8-4 this season.

Their Defense is going to be good this season & Richardson fits really well in Napier’s Offense.

Biggest issue IMO will be having a dynamic playmaker on Offense, particularly at WR, I’m not a believer in Xzavier Henderson, Justin Shorter had a solid season last year, but they don’t seem to have an instant offense game-breaker like they had with Kadarius Toney. Fraziars looked good in their Spring game, we’ll see if he finally steps up this season. Their TE group has some promise, but Zipp definitely isn’t on the same level as Pitts.

But their DLine & Secondary should perform well in Toney’s Defense, Gervon Dexter & Sapp are looking like breakout players. Jason Marshall is primed to take up the mantle as their top CB. It will be interesting to see who steps up among Jaydon Hill, Jalen Kimber, Avery Helm & Jordan Young, that CB group has some talent for Corey Raymond to work with.

Donovan McMillon looked good in their Spring game as well, he looks like he can be an active Hybrid Nickel Safety.

I'm on board with you but I don't see enough dynamic playmakers to get to 8 with that schedule. Hendo is not a polished receiver, Shorter is OK, the kid they got from Arizona State is already hurt, Whittemore is steady at best. The TEs don't scare anybody. NayQuan isn't getting 20 touches a game. Who is their back they can lean on? Richardson is going to have to be Herculean to win 8 games, IMO.

The first 2 set the tone.

If they're 2-0, they'll get 8 wins.

If they're 0-2, they have no chance.

Utah
Kentucky
USF -- Win
at Tenn
Eastern Washington -- Win
Mizzou
LSU
UGA -- Loss
@ A&M -- Likely loss
USCe
Vandy -- Win
@ FSU

I see 3 definite wins on that schedule. They'll probably be a pretty sizeable favorite against Mizzou, over a TD, so I'll go so far as say 4 wins, but Mizzou did beat them last year.

So you see 4-4 against those first 2, at Tenn, LSU, UGA, at A&M, USCe, and @ FSU ??? Will be tough. They're a FG dog at home to Utah. Probably be less than a FG favorite against UK. Probably a dog on the road to Tennessee. Small favorite vs LSU. Big dogs on the road to A&M and UGA in Jax. I can see them at 6-5 headed into FSU. I think if, Christ help you, you're a gator fan, you have to be really happy with 8-4 in Year 1 with this schedule. Such a massive game right out the gate in Week 1. Utah is so **** tough, and they're not gonna be remotely scared to come play there. If they win that one, I'll give you your 8-4. If not, IMO they don't get there and probably finish 6-6 or 7-5 at best.

I like this take and I want to add that they have No DL depth, especially on the interior.

A couple of injuries and stagnation from their LBs would mean big trouble when they start playing some of the more physical running teams on their schedule.

I don’t see it in their TE room. They had a DL come over to TE I believe and he’s better than everyone but maybe Zipperer.

Questions I have that will get answered:

1. The OL. They tailed off HORRIBLY after the Bama game and it had nothing to do with the play of Emory at QB. They got beat up and we didn't have depth. I like our first 5 + Josh Braun but proven depth still an issue. Austin Barker (RS Freshman Tackle) has been filling in for Gouriage who's been hurt but is back now.

2. The DL. Gervon gotta take THAT leap this year. Same with Cox. Good thing is that we've been hearing great things about the back ups at DE from the spring and fall; Justus Boone, Princely (not even going to attempt to spell his last name), and Tyreak Sapp. They'll push for snaps this fall for sure.

3. As you mentioned; who the **** is going to step up at WR? The hope is Pearsall but besides him...nobody scares you or have done anything in the past seasons to make you look forward to them this season. Shorter and Hendo have been just "guys" the last two years, Fraziors got talent but like w/e. Tight end spot is unproven too.

This was asked on Twitter and it had me pondering it.

in my opinion....

QB: 2022
RB: 2018
WR: 2018
TE: push
OL: 2022
DL: 2022
LB: 2018
CB: 2018

Montrell Johnson & Trevor Etienne at RB, Montrell rushed for 830+yds at ULL last year.

Right now it seems like Devin Moore , true fresh is seizing the 2nd corner job while Jayden Hill is out . Seems like a lot of youth there at corner spots to deal with.
