The honesty is refreshing. I doubt the overwhelming majority of fans chanting it had no clue. I absolutely agree with that. Flip side is I also doubt that the institution itself came up with that chant by coincidence either. Im not an advocate for cancel culture. I appreciate the fact that you can recognize the disturbing history. We don't always have to agree but I glad we can have the conversation from a mutual place of respect and honesty.Honest answer.....I completely understand the narrative here. That story and those postcards are pretty disturbing. I would venture off to think 99.99% of people do not think of that when they chant this at football games, but i also dont doubt there are a couple active klansman not sporting their hoods at their games too. I'm just not sure where the end game is at here. What if somebody who had their house destroyed during a hurricane petitions to have our name changed?
