Gary Patterson...

He just needs to recruit DFW very well and keep Texas, Texas A&M and Oklahoma from poaching recruits. Texas is giving him a lot of help in that by playing like complete ****. The good thing for him is the school is being patient in giving him time.

Word is that JJ recommended Patterson at the time of Shannon's hiring. We could have had him then fir a lot cheaper.

Just ask JJ now who we should get, and we will be fine. He knows player and coaching talent (look at his staff and what they have done). We don't need to form any committees or hire any consulting firms. His heart is loyal to Miami and will do what is best for us.

Patterson, Petersen and Sumlin were some names that the boards at least wanted. It was a little sobering at least for me when the only names in serious contention were Golden, Edsall, Whittingham ect.

we dont have a shot w Patterson. he's in a protected environment (W/L) and will pay w.e. he demands in order to keep him.

Why in god's name would he leave TCU for a program with relatively no fanbase, no home stadium, no home field advantage and with little upside compared to a program with little pressure, a loyal fanbase, a great home stadium, a fine recruiting base and stability?

Think about this carefully and answer the question honestly. Patterson will never ever leave for a Miami program that has no advantages beyond a slightly better recruiting base and nothing else.

Yep, no reason for him to leave. Even though fans make fun of him, and him being a prick, he's pretty much king at TCU.

No way a head coach leaves a school that admin cares about football. Those places do anything to win and it's football than the rest, for us it's pencils then the rest.
