Impossible to put a value on a QB right now because some teams will pay whatever because that's all they're missing. Some others will pay whatever because that's the only position they'll spend on because they think it'll carry their team without having anything else.

I’d love to compete h2h with UNc for a QB like this. It’s perfect because you just say choose more money or choose competing for playoffs and actually improving draft stock behind a likely great OLine with top returning WR in country after Jeremiah Smith…

I like Soresby. Every game I watched his WRs didn’t do him a ton of favors. Especially their first game vs Nebraska. He basically willed them back into that thing. I wouldn’t be mad if he came here.

He improvising would be huge for our offense.

I haven’t watched him play but you are making a bold claim. I hope you are right because we will all be very happy.

Do you think he is making more overall... outside of the teams NIL?

Playing in Cal is a risk to his draft status. Playing behind a great OL will help his draft status.

Its worth it to me. QBs come in and need to learn an O. It took Beck several games. Year two JKS would be an absolute king here.

Ward committed to Miami like Jan 13th
Beck committed to Miami like Jan 10th

New Portal Window is Jan 2nd - 16th ... Wheras previously it opened Dec 8th.

So I mean There is FAR less risk now with doing that than there previously was as well...

He wasn't even as good as Mendoza was though lol. I literally wanted Mendoza over Beck or Ewers last portal because I thought the Timing combined with Becks injury AND likely 25%+ discount for Mendoza would have been worth it....

Bailey hasn't shown nearly the upside as at least a handful other potential portal options. The only guy you keep talking about that I'd take Bailey over is Sellers who plain and simple doesn't fit this team at all...

Once again I'll say if our run game is going to be the same ****** design and conservative approach, we need a ******* playmaker at Qb who pushes the ball down the field and makes big time throws. Bailey doesn't do that. His best games are games where he is basically dink and dunking. That's not what we need with our Run game. We need explosive plays somehow.... And especially if Fletcher and Lofton return, this offense is setup to have zero explosivity again .... We need a baller that Mario wont go conservative with. Bailey isn't that.

Do you think he can make a leap similar to what Mendoza did in a better system with more offensive talent (and better OL)?

Our defense had the second highest rated defensive game of the year in FBS games against NC St, so we should be careful drawing too much from his performance in that game.

There are a lot of good options. It should be a buyers’ market for us.

I think you underrate Bailey’s upside. He has a high floor since he’s already a solid ACC QB with 20 starts, but he’s the same age as Mestemaker. He’s 6’6, will keep getting stronger and is a very good athlete.

His arm is more than good enough to attack downfield when he has protection.
