Beccht, JKS, and healthy Leavitt are the top 3 there imo.

Sellers is interesting to me because we will protect him, but it just seems like there's accuracy issues there even the occasional drop backs he does have pressure.

have we heard any smoke about Dawson getting a HC job? Could that throw a wrench into everything?

That’s why I think it’s hilarious to be penciling in QB’s now…

They’re always surprises/unanticipated portal entries no one sees coming…

I believe the person under center for us in ‘26 hasn’t been mentioned yet…
 
Don’t forget about Raiola’s younger brother. Might end up being a package deal. Sign Dylan and take a verbal commit from his younger brother Dayton. I think the younger brother is expected to be a 5*-4* prospect in a few seasons.



Not advocating for this, but something to consider.

To be clear once again .... JKS seems supremely talented (was a 5*) but I just don't think his Freshman year has been so good as to be anointing him the best QB on the board for next year.

Fair points, but I don’t know is there is a clear “best quarterback”.

As popular as Eric Morris is on the G5 to P4 track I would have to question Mestemaker if he chose to follow his coach to Oklahoma State. The Cowboys are a bad program and not a quick turnaround, even in today’s NIL era. Does he want to win? Given a choice does he follow Morris or does he choose from any number of top programs looking for starting quarterbacks? Doesn’t have to be Miami could be any program currently ranked in the Top 15 with a projected need in 2026.

And if I’m not mistaken, decommitted from Nebraska. Only rated a three star, probably only committed to Nebraska because his brother was there. I don’t necessarily want Dylan Raiola, but they might be a package deal.

Unless you have a no brainer (which I’m not seeing) I think you spend on surrounding talent and have a qb battle.

Unpopular opinion: Emory has looked good in spots this year. Has been in the system 3 or 4 years. Perhaps you take a shot on a lesser known QB in the portal and let them battle it out.

The downside of bringing in a big name guy that’s not a sure thing (Sellers, Bailey), you’re stuck with him starting all year. Like if Beck would have turned into TVD , would they have benched him? Probably not.

Find a talented back up somewhere and let them battle it out. Build the line up and get a top notch WR. Get the young TEs ready to play. And if Coleman beats them all out, roll with it.
