Gabby's list of transfer qbs

Leavitt, Sorsby and throw in Becht.

If we can get one of these guys day 1 of the portal, let’s ride and use that QB and Malachi to help recruit whatever else we need on offense (oline, WR2 (WR1 elsewhere), superstar TE if available.

Last thing I want is for us to go weeks without a QB.
Brother, we might have to search for a new OC first. Dawson may get a job like North Texas.

We wont have a qb until March prolly.

You not believing something doesn’t make it a narrative. JKS is arguably the best freshman qb and in every game I’ve watched the announcers just gush over his accuracy. But sure… it’s a narrative.
That sounds very scientific and now understand why you would ignore the #103 ranked QBR.

LOL at the clowns downplaying JKS

He is the best QB available. He is a true freshman making Cal competitive with legit arm talent.

1. He is at Cal
2. His HC was ***
3. Cal lost all their playmakers(RB,WRs and TE from last year.
4. His Oline is bad

Someone pull out his HLs, the man was playing with bums.
A) Nobody said he wasn't talented and his receivers have a lot of drops.
B) There is no basis for declaring "he is the best QB available".
C) He has a ****** QBR rating (and other ratings like points above avg) - isn't the end all be all but the top 25 QBR ratings pretty much include all the top QBs .... and JKS is #103

It's a real mixed bag.

Bailey won't come cheap and I don't think he's worth Beck money.

Leavitt's injury worries me. If everything checks out then sure.

Really wanted to see more from Rocco Becht. But I get it. Iowa St is still Iowa St.

Sorsby's play has been all over the place. He's also 1-11 in his career (and 0 for his last 10) in November games. Is that really what we want to pair with Mario?

Nico just isn't it. I explained why in a long post in the transfer QB thread. And Angeli has what? Like 4 career starts?

I don't think JKS or Hoover are realistic unfortunately.

If Mestemaker doesn't follow Morris, everybody is going to be beating down his door. Texas Tech needs a new QB too.

Sellers is a great kid and possesses all the tools to be high draft pick. But after the season he just had I wouldn't go that route.

Idk what the right answer is.

Rocco Becht or CJ Bailey off that list.

All that list really tells me is I hope Luke Nickel is legit and we spend that couple million on a receiver and some other help
Out of your mind if you think we should spend a dime on a WR in the portal. With the Y receivers we already have — plus the freshmen coming in — there is zero reason to waste one dollar there. Period.
You go get me Levitt, then dump the rest of the bag on:
  • Linebackers
  • A safety
  • An elite center
That’s how you finish building a roster.
And yes, it’s already proven: freshman WRs can make an impact. Look at the last few weeks. This isn’t theory — it’s happening.

We have Baby Jesus for two more years. I told everyone from day one he’s HIM. And don’t sleep on JoJo next year either. This room is about to be a problem.

Thought Jojo wasn't coming back? Carr and Ray Ray are portalling out. Jojo can't be relied upon. We either have to rely on the Freshman WRs (at least 2) stepping up immediately and being good or we go and get 1 portal WR. We need to get a Vet Outside WR for stability.

Agree on Center, LB, and Safety though. Nickel is interesting to watch as well. We have a lot of DBs that should all be competing for the open Nickel Spot next year. We'll see if any of them want a starting job or to only stick outside...

Don’t @ me, TouchPenis

You’re a creepy little ****

I tend to lean that way as well
Although my preference is still leavitt
He’s WON big time games
He’s not afraid of it; he leans into it and has some ***** type A in him that his team believes in
If the injury can be repaired timely it would help
I’m no doctor - that is my
Biggest
Concern
A few additional thoughts on Dylan….
Let’s not forget the U looked at him last year, but he wanted to stay @ Nebby
HIs uncle, the OL coach is in the dog house and apparently on his way out
His younger brother just decomitted, will likely follow Dylan
When you get Dylan, you also get the family (dad), uncle, brother & lots of drama
Dylan has a great arm & throws with touch. Would do well with our weapons and weather
Slow, but about same as CB and gets rid of the ball quicker
He’s an alpha and will be more in the line of Cam
Last but not least, will likely be the most expensive option of current names discussed

Seems like there's gonna be a lot more quality options available this year than last. We should be in a good spot to pick who we want with our resources and the track record of the last two years.

Hahahaha you're talking to a Stats professor - another random % coming up shortly 😄
You must think @DMoney has a Doctorate in stats and is really annoying then since a huge swath of his analysis every day are team and player metrics/stats.

To be clear once again .... JKS seems supremely talented (was a 5*) but I just don't think his Freshman year has been so good as to be anointing him the best QB on the board for next year.

In the end
I’d love us to get a Qab who can throw but also make legit plays with his legs
That should be a prerequisite imo

I wonder where Dylan Raiola is going..

He is going to hit the portal and he's going to be expensive.
He idolizes Mahomes.
Mahomes went to Texas Tech.
Texas Tech needs a QB and they are big spenders.

Hmmm...

He got paid around $3.5 last year. So it has to be somewhere that has a need, deep pockets and a system that would fit him. The family strongly believes he’s a top 5 NFL draft pick. IF successful is a one and done. So….
Don’t rule out the U. They have a need, system and $
USC
Alabama
Oregon
TO$U could also be an option. Previously committed there. Although they are happy with Sayin
Georgia, also previously committed there, but may have burned bridges there
Nebby is still an option. He could test the waters and drive up his price to stay
